I think the most boring thing about speed runs is the practising. Same map and enemy, time and time again? Uggh.

Good vid though.

Most of these runs have been accomplished in 5 runs or less. This is from the forming of the strategy to our current best time. We don't want to grind on a single map. Some maps infact we have only done one run on plat to get a sub 12 min time.

This is true. This video was our 3rd or 4th try I think for this time (under 12mins).

air quotes, let me get this straight. you say that using missiles and grenades is not "legit", then say you have used them in speedruns in support of your argument (contradictory/hypocritical). you then state your opinion of non missile speedruns, as more interesting. fine, but that's your opinion, it's not fact. it's true to YOU, as it is YOUR opinion. now, please, please go to school. you are not going to win this argument as you are far too stupid. THAT is a fact

We did a long time ago and stopped quickly because it was stupid.

And you guys have a bad case of peasantitis - still doing rocket runs 6 months after.

Enjoy your records - no one cares.

Stay classy :police:

This was a tutorial and is not a record. We didn't realize any noob could do this and this wasn't approved by the decider of ME3 Air Qoutes. We will be sure to get all future speed runs Air Qoutes approved. No need to pay attention to the many players we are helping with these video tutorials.

With these videos you're helping them to become better spawn nukers, that's it. With no rocket runs you help them become better players and I respect you for those. I'm done here.

yes, you are done here. GTFO, you ludicrously moronic, hypocrytical, contradictory pile of trash. fact

This video did what it was designed to do. We are not claiming to make a casual bronze player into a platinum soloer by watching this video. It's designed to show players the tactics used in speedruns. We are also assuming to a certain extent that the player attempting these runs are veteran players that have a high knowledge of game mechanics because unlike you say not just any me3 player can do this. I can link you to a previous post of yours where you were getting 14min glacier times but with practice, coordination, and the addition of armoured compartments you were able to widdle that down to your current time. So please stop acting like this is as simple as pull out you rockets and get to extraction in 10 min.

Great vid guys. Good to see a team coordinating so well. I've been meaning to meet up with some of the AreleX guys for a while and get some speed running tips. I've met some of your team before and they were really friendly helpful players.

Have a smiley :wizard:

haha, well i'll get a couple of others to help run you through it. we jump in to a bronze game so everyone knows their starting points etc, then do a couple of test runs on platinum with modest gear, then a proper one with full gear and equipment. let me know when is a good time for you, i'll try and arrange something

I think this video is great, and I want to see more for other maps! I guess I'm the target audience, because I didn't know about this technique. Rockets or not, this looks like a lot of fun and I'll be trying it with my ME3 gang.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. No question will be mocked we all started somewhere. In the early days I used the piercing mod on the GPS, AP Ammo on projectile weapons, and many power amplifiers to increase my TC damage hehe. Anything that wasn't made clear in this vid we will try to address in the next ones. We will also try to make a Best Practices guide.

See even that is too much for me. I did an armoured compartments "speedrun" on Glacier Plat (wasn't really a speedrun, we didn't have too much strategy or whatever). We did twice in a row, and I got bored.

If you can do it in 1, great.

IDK. I think the failed runs are often more fun than the ones where everything clicks and goes as planned. It's all about the team you're playing with. If things are loose and fun, you get good runs and some high comedy on the bad ones.

I can't view it because I'm at work but I assume you used the same strategy as our three man Giant one. Are you planning to do Dagger and Goddess with rockets and better characters like we did during the tournament?

Probably would be my fave way to speedrun. UUP, no Armoured Compartments. Well, I guess all my Plat games are speedrun attempts in that casePosted Image
