So I'm done wasting time on Bronze officially.  I want to move on.  Need faster creds and more experience.  Plus I have an N7 Slayer I want to use to its fullest, who routinely gets lagged out, and I can't seem to get ANYONE to join a lobby I create (a problem I have yet to successfully diagnose).

anyway, what timezone are you in? you could certainly hit gold with that claymore, reegar carbine, GPS and widow

You do have the PPR. Even though it's heavy, put it on a weapons class and you could survive gold.

But if you want to do silver, I'm game.

I've actually had quite a bit of success with the Reegar on my KroSent.

That's one of the timezones used in the States right? Seems like there's a whole ocean of timezones between us. Still, could work in the weekends.

Yerp, Arizona, to be precise. Good thing I have such a low ping. 35 ms last I checked.

I'm not sure about doing any more tonight, but at the very least I've gotten the ball rolling.

Well, I did send you a request, tjbearpig. Get on that whenever you can, I suppose.

Truth be told, my first real Gold game left a bad taste in my mouth.  I was in a lobby that was playing a rare Silver game (back when it was adventurous of me to do so) on Firebase Giant.  Then we got a new host, a pro-player, who switched it to Gold.  Same map, but hazard version.  Reapers.  A ****ton of them.

It was as if the maw of hell had ripped open.  I swear I spent most of my time hiding.  I was a squishy little lv15 Human Engineer with a Lv3 Raptor.  When wave 1 spawned a Banshee, I knew I was in serious trouble.  I SOMEHOW managed to hold out until the extraction wave, had to sit out at least 6 rounds.  I didn't even survive to be extracted.  It was easily the most horrifying game I've ever played.

But maybe the next time will be better!

Another thread encouraging a former Bronze player to move straight into Gold with what must be considered sub-par weapons & gear. Next thread will be about ill-equipped players heading into Gold before they are "ready". And so the cycle continues...

@ OP: I followed the same path, because I just didn't enjoy not being able to hold my own in Gold with the equipment I had. If you like, you can add me (ID in sig), and we can play Silver for some time. I'm in GMT +1, but play only in the evening, so that should work out.

Invitation open to everybody by the way. N7 challenge promotions and challenges for 200 waves with characters I'm not yet familiar with got me playing a lot of Silver recently.

I normally host though as I can't play off host, I just don't like it, but my connection is good, I have friends from everywhere join my lobbies and not once has there been complaints of lag =D
