Ok,I was online and this girl who had a character in a relationship with Alistair said "Omg,I hate Morrigan for sleeping with Alistair during the dark ritual,I had to kill her in Witch Hunt."
Very confused.
Why would you kill the woman who saved your lovers life and allowed you both to survive?
Not to mention you agreed to let her sleep with him.
Plus where is Alistair's child after you murder It's mother?
Regardless of her motives you are both still alive.
Dain,if you have nothing intelligent to offer why bother to even post?
Obviously,I was wondering if any of the users on the forum had the same mindset as the girl who posted.
Very suprised I have to explain that to you.
Perhaps I need to use smaller words in the future?
Tool.

Hahaha, good one dain.

@Gamer Ftw: Sorry, I can't really explain why she did so. Probably she roleplayed a warden who was badly hit by comparison blues, after that ritual night. Just saying.

Because your question is trollish and designed to elicit answers along the lines of "LOL gurls r jealous n dumb" so that we can have a flame war.  Juuuuust like your question where you asked how a girl could think that all women everywhere love Alistair.

These forums are creaky and old, and prefer basking in the sun and recalling their glory days in 2010 to rehashing old flamebait.  You'll get much more enthusiastic responses somewhere like Tumblr.  They're younger and more peppery over there.

EDIT: Here you go: Dragon Age Confessions.  Just go and confess that "I don't understand people who get mad at Morrigan for saving Alistair by sleeping with him" and you'll stir up lots of reactions.

On the contrary I tried to be as respectful as possible.
And it was on dragon age confessions a girl said that as a matter of fact.
And that was one girl not all girls.
And my previous question was "why do so many people think all girls are in love with Alistair".
You are a notorious troll on my posts Corker.
Seriously,If you get offended at such a mild question that is your problem not mine.
I have tried to phrase the question in a polite way.

Hey I do like tumblr in spite of being somewhat old and creaky D: Tis my new happy place for the DA-fandom after this forum went so downhill. And with that I don't mean the lack of participation, rather the questionably attitude of many dudebros residing on the BSN.

However...

As for the question itself, that is one of the fandom mysterious things that will never get solved. I can't wrap my head around this myself, but if some are so bothered by sharing their precious Ali-bear there is a solution: Don't do the DR and let your Warden die. There, super simple and the fitting consequence for the bout of stupid decision.

Like Morrigan would say: Do as you wish, I do care not.

Here's what puzzles me. Why are asking BSN to explain the reaction of "one girl" on Tumblr? Why not just ask her? Anyone who follows dragonageconfessions is probably more than happy to explain, argue about, and defend their POV until the 6th Blight hits. (And into the 7th.)

Oh,I did ask she called me a troll and said I was just an Alistair hater and Morrigan a **** trying to steal him from her.
So I figured "hey, maybe more sane fans can see where she was coming from".
But in her defence she was a lot saner than the one who said she would never find any man like Alistair in real life and considered dumping her bf because of it.

I don't understand myself why some people get all upset with Alistair over that either, but I've never been the possessive/jealous type of person with real life people. Not going to twist my knickers in a knot worrying over some imaginary characters and what they do or don't do. Neither he nor Loghain volunteer for the job. In fact, from the expressions on their faces one would think the warden asked them to dress as snooty matrons and juggle live cobras while singing Orlesian ballads.

Doesn't stop my lady wardens from getting Alistair to do the deed to save them both (yea I know that will probably come back to bite me in the ass but *shrug*). And the one time I spared Loghain, I had him do it cause...Roland was all into the redheaded chick, not the swamp witch. And I wanted to see Loghain's dialogues at the Post Coronation. Of course I had three endings that time, one in which alternately the warden and Loghain both sacrificed themselves and then the one where both lived.

I attribute such behavior to the immaturity of the player in question and the quality of the writing team at Bioware. If no one cared at all, we wouldn't still be arguing about them 3 years after the game was released.

And that, in a nutshell (with emphasis on "nut"), is why I blocked all the fandom confession and headcanon Tumblr blogs a long time ago.  :pinched:

As much as I love Zevran, I wouldn't want a RL version of him.  His character hits all my fantasy switches, but IRL?  As soon as I heard about the first murder, I'd be looking for an exit, and if I heard that he used sex to get close to his victims, I'd probably buy a gun and lose sleep for a few years.

Take the murderer part away, I still wouldn't want him IRL.  Nor Alistair for that matter.  Broken men in fantasy games are fine -- IRL, exhausting and soul draining.  I'll keep my husband, who is just a sweet, normal, non-broken, non-king, non-murdering guy.  I'm no duel-wielding hero, so it all works out anyway.

ETA:  One thing I find amazing is how people interpret characters so differently.  Like the girl who thinks that Morrigan just wants to do the nasty with Alistair.  They don't understand that the sex is just a means to an end -- and in Thedas there's no artificial insemination or perhaps the sex act itself is part of the ritual.

Anyway, I find people's reactions to these story arcs so interesting.  These scenarios certainly hit emotional buttons of all sorts and someone's reaction to any of these situations are based on their feelings.  So if someone gets jealous over the DR and watching the character they have real feelings for have sex with another character, it may make them angry and hurt.  It just goes to show how immersive the story really is.

I always seem to pick the damaged ones lol.
But Alistair in real life ugh.
I have a low tolerence for whiny people or men that act like helpless little kids.

This.  I wouldn't want to know either in real life.  Having them in the realm of fantasy makes them fun and allows me to appreciate the nuances of writing that went into their characterizations.

That said, my normal, boring wonderful husband has more in common with Alistair than Zevran.  But my best friend is like Zevran (minus all the murder stuff).
