Damn.

If it's any consolation Bryan, I understood what you meant in the reply to my post. I'm not sure I agree when it comes to SP (but I also don't blame that on the devs) but MP has been more than worth $60 (taking the free DLC into account).

You guys have done an excellent job with the MP. Your interaction with the community and continued support is going above and beyond (even if I personally would like it to be the norm ;) ).

My haertfelt thanks goes out to you and the rest of the dev team for a job well done. *rasises glass*

Guess I should chime in...

BroJo you're a gem. What other developers post as often as you guys? What other developers hold weekly events, write ups and (biweekly) balance changes?

Fact is, no one expected ME3 multi to be so amazing. You guys did something that a LOT of companies spend decades trying to emulate. It's nothing short of amazing why you guys have done with the resources you had. Amazing.

Is your game perfect? **** no. No game is. But if you took all the positives and enjoyment you have provided to your fan base it dwarfs all the negatives. It sucks when the loudest are often the ones you hear first but don't think this is representational of what we have going on here.

I for one will eventually move on to other games but I will probably look back with rosé colored glasses on ME3 and say "remember when we got active support? That mass game had an awesome community and friendly Devs"

I don't think I could say that about anyone right now. What you guys have done is pretty cool. Don't let angry Internet people make you lose that perspective.

Douces.

Why's it gotta be either/or? Why not both? Image IPB

Yeah, in this case, both is good!

Do you know, I think many of us could be a little more supportive when there is an uncalled for aggressive post or thread?

I'm not talking about being rude in return or anything, but against a backdrop of silence, the devs might think that silence is support and consent. In the future if I see a post that just crossed the line I think I will politely say so.

Consider it my first 'vote kick'...

I love you guys. Now, can I have an apology about how unrewarding the RNG store is?

Whew!  She's not mad any more.  Don't like it when she's mad.

*slowly backs away from thread, not taking eyes off of DragonRacer, quietly closes door to internet ... then runs like hell*

Okay, that made me LMAO in real life.

Meanwhile... wow, some really awesome, heartfelt, amazing posts have been added. Thank you, everyone, I am sure it is appreciated up there in the Great White North. Group hug! Image IPB

EDIT: oh how clever - the word I used to describe the uncalled for post has been 'auto-sanitised' by the forum. That word would be ok to use in full on a forum in the UK but I guess we must be careful to respect an international audience.

Well said. Agreed.

I just want to say that the fact that the developers and employees of Bioware are actively here is the best thing about this place and it's a trait that I would love if other companies followed suit. That being said, the internet can be a very nasty/sad place and it's a shame that it had to show its ugly head on these forums.

I hope that this does not deter the people at Bioware from posting but if they do not, it's also understandable. This is why it's so tough to have nice things like this on the internet.

Almost a year and I am glad that the community can still interact with the devs and some of the BW staff. Not everything has turned out the way we wanted perhaps and I'm sure the same can be said for the devs. That said, I'm glad they're still supporting this game and communicate with us, even if it isn't as much as when the game was first released. So I'll throw in my thanks here for Brojo and all the other BW staff that visit us here; I don't know too many studios that do this so it's very much appreciated.

I like this thread =]

There's a link above to a thread that just got out of hand.
Angry complaining poster being plain rude to BioWare and specific devs.

Devs rightly upset.
BSN standing up for devs and communicating warmth.
Time to reclaim courtesy in BSN.
Time to hold the line...

AFAIK it wasn't. I believe many speculated the new Retaliation DLC was going to drop at the end of January.

Threads like this make me feel a little better about spending my time on BSN.

QA, design and balance for this game can't be an easy job, and I'm really amazed and impressed that so much of the BioWare team is willing to get involved in their off-hours. Especially given what BSN can be like.

I hope Bryan comes back soon. The multiplayer forum won't be the same thing without him.

I've always appreciated the input and insight from the devs.
I hope Bryan comes back and the devs continue interacting with the fans where possible.

Sadly not everyone on BSN knows how lucky we are to have devs who care that much about the game and the fans to interact with us on forums like this.

Unfortunately, the best thing you can do is often ignore the trolls like that.  Engaging, or even acknowledging, what they've said only encourages more of it.
