Geez. I am familiar with the thread that caused this thread. That was just wrong on so many levels.

Bryan, should you read this, my husband was a term tester on a BW game, so I have a small idea of what your job is like, how frustrating it can be, your long hours, tight deadlines, and all the stuff you put up with so that we can have a fun game to play. He defined the difference between playing a game and doing QA as, "when you play a game, you do it for your own enjoyment. When you do QA, you play a game for someone else's enjoyment." I appreciate what you do so that I can have fun with my friends night after night.

I have been one of the more absent members of the forums and post rather rarely, but it has always surprised me how the developers have been so involved with the community. I have never seen anything like it before and I have been on many different game forums. It's just amazing to me. I truly appreiciate the support of the developers and it's great to see threads like this.

So this Bryan! And....

To ALL the devs:
Thanks
so much for all the hard work and effort you put into ME3, and
continuing to reply to your gamers via BSN.  It's your company's first
multiplayer and this time last year people were already trying to write
it off. But guess what, we're still playing!

Sometimes you can
miss all the really nice people on here and get distracted by the same
argumentative immature people who just want attention. But they are by
far in minority. Most of us really appreciate all the work you guys are
still putting into keeping everybody happy with new releases, balances
changes and continuing to respond to your players via the forums, even a
year after release. You guys wouldn't do any of that if you didn't
genuinely care about your work and want to keep everyone happy.

So THANK YOU!

Please come back soon and talk to us

Edit: Quote if you agree!

Sorely missed. Come back soon so we have an excuse to have cake... and meaningful conversations on BSN:wub:

A lot of us appreciate the dialog that Bryan Johnson and his co-workers have with us on the forums. And it's a shame that a few bad apples had such an impact. I sincerely hope he does return to the forums.

Thank you all for your hard work and tolerating some of the us here. Hope he makes a speedy return. :)

I read some of the juicier bits of that thread and all I can say is WOW. No one deserves that kind of disrespect. Hopefully those guys learn to be more polite. Sorry to see anyone treated so poorly.

I avoided posting in the aforementioned thread because I didn't think it deserved any more attention.

All the bioware devs who post here deserve a big round of applause for putting up with some of the so-called human beings raging at them from behind the veil of internet anonymity.

i'm sorry to hear that this has happened, but i 'd like rest of BSNers to treat BioWare devs with care and love, respect in same way as i do for Bryan and Ninja Stan, rest of those Moderators that who are here to work day and night to keep our forums from turning into something like that thread.
you guys rock and keep it up!

love ya guys!

edit: i forgot to mention, some people like that guy really doesn't pay attention to what's going on without thinking first. i'd know. it has happened to me few times by some people that really did't cared if i asked them to stop.
but you get the idea.

Quality sentiment here, but fwiw, I don't blame Bryan for taking a break for a few days/weeks/whatever. That thread got poisonous, in a bad way. Better for him to back off for awhile, let everything simmer down, rather than risk another attack like that happening and just making him decide to be done with the forums for good.

I agree and, honestly, would do the same if I were in his shoes. Cool off, let the malcontents eventually simmer back down, wash the bad BSN taste out of your mouth. I don't blame him one bit.

And if another attack DOES happen, there's still a standing offer for me to go beat them up. No charge. LOL

I love this game for the fact that there is so much interaction on the forums and most people are willing to come to the aid of others who need assistance. I also love the fact that the devs take time to actively respond to posts when necessary... it lets us know our voices are being heard and they care.

BroJo is one of the devs I really enjoy reading responses from because he seems to be one of the more active devs to respond.

With the sheer number of people playing ME3, you're bound to have a group of hateful morons.

Please don't let these idiots deter you from staying active on the message boards.

I am a software QA tester by day and know that you can never really have a "perfect" product. There's always bound to be some bugs in the game. There may be some bugs in ME3 but that's nothing compared to the overall game experience. ME3 MP has and is an amazing experience for me (and others). Ever since I started playing MP, I have not been able to put it down and I'm on nearly every night.

Thank you Bryan and all devs who continue to present us with an entertaining and enjoyable MP game! It would be an honor to play by your side if we should ever cross paths in a PS3 lobby!

Bryan's a good dude, as are the other BioWare people who post here - Derek Hollan, NPlewes, Eric Fagnan, Chris Schanche. Even Ninja Stan, lol. I think they do a great job and really do care a lot about the game and the players. I certainly appreciate that they take the time to interact with us, especially if they don't have to.

I was also somewhat appalled at some of the things that were said in that thread. And I miss the old days where by the time you were 18, if your parents never taught you manners you got your ass beat by your peers until you did. Now, internet anonymity trumps that.

Sorry you had to put up with that Bryan, but I think the large part of BSN has your back.

Yeah, once you get the Mama Bear juices flowing, it's hard to un-rile yourself.

Hmmm, different approach. I like the musical thing a previous poster did. I'll see that upheld boombox and raise you this...

Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show

You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
Call me (if you need a friend)
Call me (call me)
Call me (if you need a friend)
Call me (if you ever need a friend)
Call me (call me)
Call me
Call me (if you need a friend)

I just read the thread. Some good soul pointed me the exact page.

Is anyone familiar with Kevin Smith movies?
Because I wanted to reenact a certain scene.

But seriously: this kind of attacks is NOT what the community thinks about your work. I was raised to respect the work of the others, and I can honestly say that I love this game. I love it with all it's drawbacks. For me, the MP team are heroes who saved an awesome franchise, and I mean it. And Bryan Johnson is always there on the frontlines, sitting in the same trenches.

+1  on so many levels.

I'd like to second (third?) the comments made by NPlewes and Derek Hollan.

A group of fans interacting in the same space as Developers, talking back and forth, is a unique and awesome thing. Bryan's dedication to maintaining and promoting the dialogue with the community is a great thing and I sincerely hope it can continue. The hurtful comments made towards Bryan as well as to our Dev team in general were inappropriate and serve only to damage the relationship between developer and fan. However, the comments here help remind us that we have an amazing fan community and that's the reason we're here and who we want to have a dialogue with.

So, thanks, it means alot to see this kind of support.

Hell, man, for all that you guys put into this game and continue to put up with from us forumites....Thank you. This amount of interaction between the people who create, and maintain the game, and the gamers who play it is a breath of fresh air.

Bryan especially gets a nod for being so involved and willing to communicate with the community.

I took some time to read through a good portion of the other thread and all I can say is that there are some truly hate filled people out there. It is pretty hard to imagine how someone that has the ability to afford video games and the time to play them can possibly be so wound up and angry. As someone that has traveled to several third world countries to help those truly in need, I must say the arrogance of first world problems is so ridiculous.

I cannot even begin to fathom what people in those countries would think if they really knew how petty many of the privileged people of the world really are.

As for the devs at BioWare, thank you guys for an amazing run through my favorite game series of all time. You have truly shown a deep dedication to your fan base and I have poured many hours of my life into your work. You all are the best, and I look forward to continuing to support the franchise going forward.
