Why all this hate for the console players?

The sad thing about it is, in that clever infographic, the two games are the same game. PC gaming has been relegated to arguing superiority of platform in a forum devoted to a multiplatform game (being generous here, hard pressed not to call it a console port).

I'm sure there are some great PC only games out there now, and maybe it's just the rose colored glasses of age, but I remember when there was a real difference between what you could play on a computer and what was on a console - substantive differences in type, breadth, depth, intelligence, graphics, and overall quality. You'd never have to dig into the little details like frame rates and responsiveness of input to prove a point, because the other advantages were so overwhelming and apparent. PC's are still superior, but they occupy the same market and they're not the driving force anymore. Can't help but think the golden age has passed, but happy that there are still enough PC enthusiasts out there to push hardware/software advancement.

I "blame" Bioware for my switch over to consoles. KOTOR made me buy an Xbox. Mass Effect made me buy a 360. Slight benefits of a PC version didn't justify the wait time. Don’t see this trend improving and can't see a compelling reason to switch back. My gaming rig is now a superior platform for online Scrabble.

consoles are cheap, require no micro management and force developers to make the best of the current format and hardware. PCs are notouriously expensive, require constant micro management and dont make developers push what is possible. On the flip side, endless mods give pc games timeless replayability and creativity plus custom servers and such. (always really wanted to play on a CoD 4 Pro mod server).

I dont think either party should just 'write off' the other as inferior. both have advantages. This whole 'master race' BS is a classic case of too much free time. 'What can I do to make myself feel less insecure? Oh I know, slate anyone who cant afford a £700 (and more over time for copious upgrades [instead of pushing what something can do, just make a new one]) as inferior and skilless and stupid and all this other crap'. /rant

I think this one didn't even read the thread. You'd know this whole thing is tongue in cheek from the very start.
