I used to be PC only player but decided it would be nice to sit on my butt in the living room. I have gotten used to console (XB), but PC will always be better. All the same, there are some pretty darned good console players too.

I never understood why anyone has "hate" for one gaming system over another. I have played PC games, console games, hand held games, phone games, card games, board games... its all good imo.

But, I think PC gamers just generally have that elitist mentality. Its a much smaller community of players, there is a certain amount know-how needed, the price buy-in is larger, and the resulting graphic-performance is generally superior. So like any "exclusive" group, they feel they are better.

I think your a tad too serious for this thread.

Also, your PC gamers generally have an eltist menatility is wrong as wrong can be. A mentality is an individual take, not a social one. It's a widespread fallacy that mentalities areborn grom groups, instead of the factual natural gathering of people with alike mentalities. That however doesn't hold true for the majority of PC gaming at all, since the common denominator to the question "do I want to become a PC player" is "do I want a PC for gaming". Any future exclusitivity mentality is entirely optional and rare as I may add.


99.9% of all people that make the PC master race comment mean it as a joke, a little teasing. Like calling a friend an **** for telling that girl he likes he once danced naked on a party.

The sad thing is that 0,1% (possibly quite a bit more) actually mean it though... At least there's some unity in that community. On the other hand, an inter-console X360 vs. PS3 flame war is only a comment away. (The xbox is better, in case you're wondering )

In fact most consoles cut back on things the PC laughs at, like player/unit caps, map size and the likes.

A few PC games did get half-assed compared to the console versions. Case in point, Resident Evil 4. On the other hand, whoever thought that putting RTS games on console was a good idea deserves to be fired. Supreme Commander on the 360 was awful.

so is halo wars, civ rev was ok though.  also whoever put the rts part in CODBlOPS2 is a fvking moron, those controls suck major donkey balls.
