I wanted to play DAO again, and started a new game about a 5 days ago, so I'm pretty far into the game. I was looking around in my computer room, and discovered Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition with Awakenings that my Son and Daughter-in-Law bought me some time ago. My question is, if I delete my CE DAO, will it keep my save game characters? Then, if I install the DAO Ultimate with Awakenings, will I be able to just continue from where I left off with my characters for the original? Thanks for any advise or answers.

What you can do is copy your characters file to somewhere else before you uninstall. Then install the Ultimate Edition and move your character file into that folder. By doing that, your CE will be playable from where you left off.
