I've already played through DA2 but I felt like I imported wrong.

Should I be importing Origins or Awakening? If I imported Origins into Awakening...and then Awakening into DA2, will it take into account all the choices I made in Origins?

Silly question I know but I'm a bit confused.

I imported a save that included Origins, Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt. Pretty well all my decisions (or at least the ones that had an impact on DA2) were remembered.

-The Warden was alive
-Alistair was king of Ferelden
-The werewolf curse was broken
-Bhelen was king of Orzammar
-The Sacred Ashes were preserved and Genitivi allowed to leave the mountain
-Amaranthine was saved
-Zevran was still alive
-Avernus had been instructed to carry on his research ethically
-Isolde was still alive

The only two bugs I encountered was with Nathaniel and Leliana.

Because Nathaniel was not in my party at the end of Awakening, I didn't get his Act 3 quest "Finding Nathaniel." I ended up going back and changing that. When I imported again, "Finding Nathaniel" appeared normally.

With Leliana, she didn't remember that I romanced her until I downloaded Patch 1.03. This is apparently the result of some corrupted data that comes with a Witch Hunt autosave.

So lets say I go through Origins, Awakening, Golems and Witch Hunt as one character. I should be importing my Witch Hunt save game into Dragon Age 2?
That save will contain all the choices from Origins, Awakening and Golems?

Yup.

Note that Golems and Witch Hunt have no apparent effect on DA2.

Eh may as well, maybe it'll affect something in DA3 :P

Cool, thanks for the help.
