I've never read the books, so I can't really comment on anyone from those. As for the game, Morrigan would be the obvious choice, but honestly to me it's Leliana, she seems so sweet and innocent, but she comes from a place where she spied and murdered for money.

The Architect from Dragon Age: The Calling. I really want to know how he ended up the way he was, how he learned to be able to manipulate the taint and learned to control other Darkspawn. He just has such a mystery surrounding him it's like a hmm why do I hear a strange hum in my head it sounds like it's calling me....
