This, plus a more appropriate FoV.

Been playing like this for 11 months now - no risk of getting banned.
Probably because the guys at BioWare damn well know that FoV isn't matter of taste but a matter of physics. Hard to ban a player for sitting closer to the screen...

I wish we were allowed to properly mod the files so we can actually have a challenge. Unfortunately, it isn't allowed to multiply the number of enemies in play, not even if you don't get any XP or credits for finishing such a game. I much rather fight 24 than 8 enemies at a time.

Never touched the INI files.

I will admit I'm somewhat interested in this "reducing the Hunter Mode overlay" though...if only so I can see where the objectives are, if nothing else. Stupid Geth, can program themselves to see invisibility, but not where a device needs to be turned on....

This, plus FOV 90 (or maybe 100, don't remember exactly).

Same. I use T as use, though, not R.

No, as long as it is only "cosmetic" and doesn't give you any advantage over others.

Thus, you can change how you look (colors not available in-game), how your guns look, the controls (separating Use/Cover/Dodge in 3 different keys) and field of view. I probably missed some things, but all of that is ok and have been confirmed by Bioware.

If you give yourself any advantage over others, even if it's a mistake, you'll get banned. So be carefull not to touch anything you don't understand.

That is possibly the one thing that I'd like to see in an eventual ME4 multiplayer, more than anything else. Moar enemies please.

Well, it's limited by the power of the XBOX and PS3. Considering the next ME game should launch after the new consoles, it shouldn't be a problem.

Edit: I heard they considered reducing the enemy count to 3 for Wii U :P

No one is going to come to this forum and say they do it
But it is super easy to do
way easier to do than any type of cheating on consoles

Most of console players say that, but in fact, the cheating rate on ME3 MP on PC is very low.

I've been playing since demo and I have been with only 3 cheaters and that's a lot in comparison with most of players here who hasn't ever been with one.

And i play a lot of random games.

That's cool.  You'd know better than I do.  We're probably relating our console-playing experience to PC and assuming they're the same.  I think the PC probably has the most mature players.  Can you imagine how it would be if it was possible to hack files on XBox??? :o  You wouldn't be able to find a lobby without cheating going on.

For any PC or console players interested, here are some comparisons between 70 FOV (default) and 100 FOV.

30 degrees may not seem like much, at first, but playing at this FOV when most shooters I play (borderlands 2, Unreal tournament) are at 100 FOV, makes ME3 all the more enjoyable.

70 FOV:

Aesthetics? Most certainly, although TexMod nullifies the need to actually change any files.

Quarian Female Engineer and Infiltrator "Tali", fashioned after the default Tali outfit modified to work on the MP model:

Image IPB

Geth Trooper Soldier and Infiltrator "Pyro", much lower specular levels to mimic the real Pyro as well as much fewer lights and some other changes:

Image IPB

Turian Soldier and Sentinel "Nihlus", familiar from ME1 with face paint and an approximation of the armor:

Image IPB

Batarian (all) "Blue Sun", also with accompanying pattern on the Blade Armor:

Image IPB

Asari (all except Justicar) "Shiala", approximation and removal of a lot of lights and some other minor cosmetic changes to all maps:

Image IPB

Asari (all except Justicar) "Omega", inspired by Aria's outfit, no lights and Liara's face texture:

Image IPB

Asari Justicar "Liara", almost unnoticeable hue and specular work to mimic Liara's alternate armor:

Image IPB

N7 Fury "Kasumi", Kasumi's loyalty outfit with embossed Spectre-logo and some minor cosmetic changes (vertical eye-slits instead of round lights):

Image IPB

Krogan Soldier and Sentinel "Blood Pack", the Skull and Fist doesn't really fit well on this model and is obscured by the Sentinel's tech armor:

Image IPB

Human Infiltrator and Engineer "Shepard", a Shepard-esque look for the basic humans:

Image IPB

Plus a host of other minor cosmetic texture changes, no more white plasticky-looking weapon attachments and so on.

Z.

i have only reported 1 player and threatened 1 other to report.
btw i only threatened the 2nd guy because its such a PITA to report someone.

been playing since launch, i play more than most people do, well until christmas i have taken quite a few breaks since then.

never have went and changed my spacebar either or even opened the ini with anything.

so ya... not even close to the hundreds of console threads about cheaters.

but to be fair, i host 99.9% of the time and the 2 cheaters i ran into were using something different than the ini file to cheat.

for the most part i dont see why someone would cheat at this game, its just too much damn fun and its not like the game is super retarded hard either.

In this very thread, there was someone who posted a dev saying he thought it was ok, lemme find it.

Here, found it. Brenon Holmes seemed to suggest that its perfectly ok.

Good enough for me.

Considering that you can remap your keys "however you want", it's only expanding the possibilities I guess. They don't mind.

Everything you need to know about FOV and mapping keys:

Any patch will revert your changes, so be sure to note what you changed so you can change it back after the patch.
