Because using mods in ME3 can be a bannable offense?

Only if it affects multiplayer...which most mods do not. That being said, not knowing what I was doing I modified some weapons for the single player game and found out that also modified them for the multiplayer. I had to load the backup file when ever I wanted to do multiplayer and then reload the mod when I wanted to do single player. Other modders that know what they are doing can probably limit their changes to single player though.

They can argue that modding thread exist in the fan creation topic ( it' not a far strech ), and preserving "artistic integrity" ( like preserving a desease if you ask me ^^). but honestly why not ?

by the way thanks to bioware for your ending correction DLC and for you, modders, to take the challenge

ps Can you make a mod who erase my memory of the original ending, if it's too much too ask, it would be golden

because the ME series is an impenetrable fortress of artistic integrity that is absolutely impossible to decipher, crack or mod.

and anyone who makes an attempt to do so would be foolish at best, and if caught, punishable by death of the perpetrator's multiplayer experience.

But there is already an ending mod (http://www.pcgamer.c...ppy-ending-mod/). So much for "preserving the artistic integrity". They already (fortunately) failed at it. So what difference does it make?

so you say DA is not "art" and because of that, it deserves its own mod categories?

No... It's because Dragon Age had an officially released toolset and modding Dragon Age IS logically officially supported while Mass Effect modding is NOT officially supported (but generally condoned) hence no official categories exist.

Afaik Bioware's stance on modding the ME series was something like: "You can aslong as you don't come complaining to us when you break your game because it's your choice and responcibility and is not officially supported by us."

Also, unfair advantages in Multiplayer are a bannable offence, yes.
That is all.

you do know that bioware devs are only one checkbox away from releasing all needed tools? All needed data for unrealEd is still in the files, they simply stripped the exe off the unrealEd code. Also (at least my) tools are open source, as far as I know legally reverse engineered and all I ask for is an additional category for links... anyway its amusing how such a simple question creates so different opinions. so thanks for any input :D

I'm aware of this mod, but since the toolset has continue his progress, and i believe this is not final, more like a first step, a proof of concept. mod video sequence, audio and texture are nice feature.but mod animation, game script, sequences render by the game engine or add an entirely new level from scratch, these are an other kind of awesomeness.

The answer to your OP question is not a matter of opinion.
I did not share an opinion on them not existing, I simply answered your question on why they don't exist (to my knowledge).

well, you have to agree, that as long as you dont work for biowarEA, this IS just an opinion built up on YOUR knowledge. But ok, the tools are in work, I dont need support for that, but what is with all the TexMods since ME1? all the coalesced tweaks? or simply the sense of the "fan creation forum" if there isnt even a category in projects for it?

I don't think BW owns all of the software that they would need to release for modding the game. If this is the case (I could be wrong) then they could, and would, get sued by the companies owning the software they released to the public for free.

can you please remember that I only ask for ME1-3 category in projects?! btw, its a customized unreal engine with plugins for 3rd party software (blaze, wwise, scaleform, ...) and all unreal games come with unrealEd, the unreal EDITOR. Its a checkbox when "cooking" to strip it off, so thats not so hard. then im no legal person, but I assume that this is just a question of another license contract, which is cheaper then the value they could earn by selling it as extra editor. I would buy it!
