You could call it fanservice. EDI's attractive. (Although a lot of that is just me liking her character a lot.) But fanservice doesn't automatically imply that any kind of character degradation or debasement is going on.

This like arguing about Miranda's looks...Or how a female in ME1 looks in light armor.(Heck, all the female armorsin ME1 have the wedgy.)

All it comes down to it that your obsessing too much on looks when there is way more to the character.

I like EDI, and im okay with her having a mobile platform in Me3, but just because she has a female voice/personality, doesnt mean she has to have a body taken directly out of a Sorayama painting (id advise putting safe search on before looking up the name) for the sole purpose of blatant fanservice. its possible to have a robot with a feminine voice and/or personality without making them look like a sexbot (e.g. Glados), they could have made her body a heavily modified version of one of the mechs from Me2, or something else.

Note story wise it was cerberus who made the body.

@Dreman once again you prove that you don't fully read posts, I just said I didn't mind EDI's body personally but they still did too much to it that made look silly


And please stop trying to ME2 characters to back you up because this is about EDI, if wanna talk to people regarding Miranda, Samara, and others make a new thread about it

People realize this, we're just arguing on the specific aspect because it bothers a lot of people, even if they know there is more to the character.  It's the intent of using that body, from Bioware's perspective.

I would have left out the heels. And I'd probably wouldn't have put the er, crease, there, although it doesn't really bother me. But I'm fine with the rest of it.

In fact, that's pretty much how I feel for all the squadmates. I'm fine with the 'boob plates', fine with the buxom women, fine with Ashley's hair, fine with Jack's outfit. Yes, I would get rid of Samara's heels and maybe give her a slightly less revealing outfit. (Although I think I'd leave Miranda's heels.) But aside from that, I'd leave all of it.

Well, maybe get rid of a few camera angels. I really, really hate that first shot of Benezia in ME 1 where the camera just absolutely lingers on her chest for a few very long moments.
