I have a lot of Fire Emblem references on my roster, including Harken which is always the name I use for my Paladin characters(he is my N7 Paladin).

I also have other random references like Rogar, Ambrose, Glorion, Carrow, or Worgendorf.

and my Volus Vanguard is called Bowlus.

I'm a bit of an odd fella, I will actually take the time to name my characters something fitting.

Quarians all have names like Taer'Reora, Cora'Vaun, and etc etc..

Humans all have human names except for two of them which is my N7 Shadow named Sevven and Slayer named Kyzr. Had a bit of a problem of thinking up creative names for them, will need to revisit them lol.

My turians all vary a bit but my Turian Sentinel is Torrin, Turian Soldier is Orllanus, right now I cannot recall my Havoc and Ghost at the moment.

My Krogan tend to have very simple names but my Krogan soldier whose my absolute favorite takes the cake. I couldn't figure out a name for him to save my life so I took off the "gan" part to give him the name Kro. Oddly enough this simplistic name has been well liked by a few of my friends haha

I rarely play my Geth but they all got names like 00010010101110 or 10011011011 and etc etc, no "Legion" names basically.

I cannot list all the character names off the top of my head without being on xbox live, so to do a full list I will need to type them down when I got my xbox going.

Since only I see the character names, I try to be clever with humorous names. I named my Krogan Sentinel, "Trogdor," and my Drell Vanguard, "Chupacabre," for example. And of course, my N7 Slayer is named, "Phil." That's a name I could imagine Harbinger being too frightened to say.

I tend to give them whatever name I find funniest at the time. Often I try for either references to favorite characters from other franchises, or goofy pun names (like Jimmy Russel, my N7 Destroyer).

Some characters are named after ME characters. Turian Soldier is Nihlus, Quarian Marksman is Kal Reegar and Salarian Infiltrator is Kirrahe. But usually i try to come up with names that sound lore-friendly. The new Turians have names like Marius or Tiberius, for example.

Oh and all my Krogan are named MRAAAWR. No exceptions.

I don't really name characters I wish others could see the name of them then I would name them all but my some of my characters are named after characters I liked throughout the me series.

i name most of my characters on various things. it's just random, but i keep the name. i have like, three Zaeeds here. my Vorcha is named Zaeed. BF3 character is named Robin Sachs, in honor of him/in memory of Robin. i'll list them in really big list lol.

Adept List:
Human Male: Thor (named after the character in Thor movie)
Human Female: Jack (named after the character in ME2/ME3)
Asari Adept: Samara (named after the character in ME2/ME3)
N7 Fury: Crimson Legion (named after my favorite BSNer posters, LegionOfRannoch and CrimsonN7)

Soldier List:
Vorcha: Zaeed (in memory of Zaeed Massani)
Human Male: Zaeed Massani (for the same reason)
Battlefield 3 Soldier: Zaeed Massani (again,same reason)
Turian Soldier: Garrus Vakarian (named after the character in ME trilogy)
Krogan Soldier: Urdnot Grunt (named after the character in ME2/ME3)
N7 Destroyer: John Hackett (theory that he's brother of Admiral Hackett)
Male Quarian Soldier: Archer (Captain Archer from Star Trek Enterprise)

Engineer List:
Human Male: Brandon Shepard (named after the character i made in ME and continued through into ME2/ME3)
Human Female: Sakura (named after my favorite character, Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura the movie)
Female Quarian Engineer: Talia Normandy (named after the Talia from batman the Dark Knight Rises movie and Normandy, the name of ship in ME trilogy)
Geth Engineer: Legion (named after the character in ME2/ME3)
Male Quarian Engineer: Kemi (named after the character from Muppet shows/movies)
Female N7 Demolisher: Crimson (named after favorite BSNer CrimsonN7)

Sentinel List:
Human Male: Blaze (named after my callsign which i later adopted it in 2004 after playing Ace Combat 5: the Unsung War)
Krogan Sentinel: Urdnot Mordin (named after the Mordin in ME3 after the death of Mordin)
N7 Paladin : Mass Effect 4 (named after the future game lol)
Asari Valkyrie: Hellmaker (named after the aircraft i flown in the game of Birds of Steel)

Infiltrator List:
Human Female: Shepard (named after default Shepard in ME)
Female Quarian: Tali (named after the character in ME trilogy)
Female N7 Shadow: Snow (named after the Captain Snow from Ace Combat 5)
Male Turian Ghost: Victrous (the name was a mixture for both of Victory and Defeat)

Vanguard List:
Human Male: Sam (named after the ME character that died in third run-through of ME2)
Male Batarian Brawler: Balak (named after Balak from ME/ME3)

I try to give my characters names that seem fitting for their species as well as having a bit of variety. So Krogan get a clan name first, but they're also given names which are sound effects I've read in comic books, like Urdnot Krunk (soldier) or Jorgal Fzzamm (vanguard).

Quarians get names like Jann'Tonn (female engineer) or Dor'Gil (male infiltrator) but I ran out of ideas so my male engineer is called Tik'Tok. His omni-tool works like clockwork though.

Turians obviously have roman sounding names, lots of us and ius at the end of names.

My Vorcha are named Kark Dugglaz and Chukk.

My volus are named after pool ball names (8 ball, 9 ball etc.) I try to use inspiration from earth mythology: my asari huntress is called artemis, the greek goddess of the hunt and so forth. My geth are named after computer parts (PSU, Boot, CRC). Shenanigans for the most part.

I make references to archetypes.
All my turian armiger are named after things related to flying (Sky, Jet, Hawk)
My geth are named to synonyms of Legion (Horde, Swarm, etc.)
Quarians to fleet names, Vorcha to wild names, Volus to fictional characters that are round.
And i make some references to Glorious Shotgun Princess.

My character have the sort of name I could see them having in the ME universe. Some of them have the same familly name as character from the story because I imagine they are related.

I pay special attention to avoid giving all my humans american names, so I have a Zhao female Adept, a Yuki N7 Shadow, a Karim male Sentinel, a Jacques male Engineer, a Katrina female Infiltrator, etc ... The alliance would recruit from all over the world.

Occasionally I give them nickname that I could imagine a soldier getting, like BoomBoom.

Armoured Turians and volus are named after Greek and Norse Gods cause I think its funny. I hate batarians in SP but love them in MP so they have names like butt taco. Named my HS Zaeed in tribute to Robin, and I have a Pink and Purple Kroguard named Smoochie cause someone said he looked like a giant purple dinosaur and I hate Barney. Oh and my geth are named after the IG series of droids from Star Wars, so IG88 IG 89 And IG90. My combat drones are Bob and ny Turrets are Timmy.
