Now, we get a lot (a lot) of threads asking to fix A or to fix B, to buff X or nerf Y. I know I get the itch to say things like that too; I'd love for the Paladin elemental explosions to be fixed, for example. Often in those threads we'd get replies along the lines of "it isn't that easy to fix". This is very reasonable; I have no programming knowledge myself but just from a common sense perspective I can appreciate that finding problems in the code, fixing them and testing the results must necessarily take work.
Out of curiosity, though, I wanted to know how much work.
Again, as a programming illiterate I wanted to ask: what exactly are we asking of Bioware when we make bug reports and balance requests? What are we expecting, and is it too much? Maybe someone with expertise in the field can satisfy my curiosity here. Thanks.
How hard is it to fix stuff, actually?
