The OP is right. I have been playing the game since December, and I have seen how every so-called MP update and made it suck more and more. The Geth stunlock, Collectors, bumrushin Dragoons. The list goes on and on. Thank goodness I just got Dead Space 3, now I only play MP for the weekend challenges. Maybe if Bioware gets their collective heads out of their asses and finally fix this POS.

Expecting a horde-mode PvE game to reach the depth a PvP game gets is pretty ridiculous. PvP is deeper by nature, just because human opponents are just smarter and less predictable than AIs. The game design itself doesn't even have to offer that much to get depth.

As for comparing PvE to PvE... I think that depends what game designs you prefer, but they're all going to be a bit shallow and repetitive compared to PvP. Not because of poor design but just because that's a natural consequence of pitting humans against computers.

Anyway... I find the Mass Effect game elements pretty fun and complex. Multiplayer gives me a bigger, more varied playground to try things out in than the single player. Do I wish the multiplayer had more? Sure. But it's clearly an early experiment—a proof of concept. The existence of several powers and items that were clearly balanced around single player first is pretty telling.

So I guess.. if it's not your thing, that's fine? I enjoy it for my own reasons.

(10/10 btw)

Hmmmmm.

OP, you're quite a persistent one. Props.

Several users, including the original poster of this thread, have been temp banned for violating the forum's code of conduct. Reasons include flaming, fighting, posting off-topic images, posting images with vulgarity, and posting images calling for others to flame this thread.

Chris Schanche has opted to leave this thread open for now, and that's fine. I encourage those of you who really want to discuss this topic to do so respectfully.

Thanks,

RI

I vote for closing this thread.

But, but... the devs enjoy seeing people defend the game. :P Anyway, without the OP present, the discussion doesn't have much of a point anymore since we all mostly agree that the ME3 MP is not that bad. ;)

Here's how you cast your vote for "closing" a thread: Stop posting in it. Let it sink into the abyss. It's that simple.

The disadvantages you cite are the features I find appealing. Can devote limited but regular time to game. Offers acceptable reward for this devotion.

Awh, did someone just get outscored in bronze. Remember that it's never a good idea to post in the forum right after a bad match. Take consolation in the fact that the 12 year old that just tripled your score has probably been playing since christmas. You'll get better.

BAHAHAHAHA. +1 Sir. +1 indeed.

I think with all the games accolades (hasnt been reviewed since launch. Has been revamped) a critic can only cause us who love it to rally to its defense. He cant really take anythimg away from our enjoyment. I say leave it open and keep it classy. Besides, MERLIN HAS SPOKEN!!!!

Not to rain on your parade, but OP is an Xbox 360 player.  For whatever reason these blank n7hq's show up occasionally.

I doubt that it matters though, OP is not interested in putting in the time to progress far into the metagame, since they clearly dislike it quite a bit.  I would be surprised if they even had extractef from the higher difficulties.

I like this game for the multiple characters, powers and team strategies. Also it is simple to jump into the game. Games like Call of Duty have a high learning curve. When you cheat in this game you cheat against the game. When you cheat in Call of Duty you cheat against others. My wife hates Zombies. I can't get her to watch the best horror much less the b-movie stuff. Also my wife enjoys Mass Effect's single player. Call of Duty's single player is nothing we haven't seen before because we where both in the army and fought wars. We feel call of duty is just a recruiting tool for kids who don't know what war or the millitary is like. It comes down to choice. You like what you like. I like what I like. There is no point in questioning choice. I don't question your choice. Why are openly questioning mine?

In this day and age of grand multiplayer games such as Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty, and Army of 2: 40th Day, why is it that anyone still plays this low class game.  It offers very little in the way of entertainment and offers more in the way of frustration through glitches and bugs.

Even Lord of the Rings: War of the North had more to offer than this piece of filth.  At least that game did not have sad and meloncohly moderators that tried to deflect the failings of this game mode through budget constraints.

The multiplayer brings out the worst out to light, much like the ending it is shallow, overstated, and defended only by its most ardent fanboys.

The video below sums up Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer perfectly.

Your original post^^^

It would be nice if you
stated how I wasn't really being rude until people started insulting my
intelligence, my home, my city, and my username. I didnt use derogatory
language until people insulted me. However, I do appreciate the fact
that you realize im not just some "troll" and it is ok to have an
opinion about this game besides its the best ever. Thank you

Are you thick?  You call this a "low class game"  and  "a piece of filth".  Everyone except you is here because they love this game.  You insulted the people that made this game and the fanbase that frequents this forum and then cry when someone gives you a taste of your own medicine.  I asked a very simple question in my earlier post, what did you hope to achieve by posting these comments?

You don't think I would not check if he hasa xbox or ps3 profile ether?

Sorry, he does not have that ether. The manifest has a player seach feature. No xbox or ps3 account comes up. He only has it on pc.

He flat out did not play the mp at all.

I play it for the people. That's what keeps making me come back to ME3MP. I've met the most interesting men and women playing this game. Which is far more than I can say about the 12 year olds I run into playing Halo and CoD.

Great post. I agree. Everyone has their preferences. There is no point to belittling others choices.

BTW, thanks to you and your wife for your service!
