Yes it should be really easy to bring a long extinct species back out of no where. Gameplay wise it wouldn't fit, unless it was used in like cintematics. I think bioware made them extinct so we wouldnt get any other idea's.

They could very well be alive outside of Ferelden.. Griffons are flying creatures so take a look west of Orlais. There is a big mountain area. And if they can make a dog be a party member.. why not a Griffon? (a)

I vote no to griffins. I'm already annoyed that half of the spells and abilities have the same names as another popular game. If they bring in griffins, the next thing you know they'll bring in playable worgens, er... I mean werewolves to fight the Scourge, er... I mean, the Blight.

On the subject of Worgens, my raiding main was a belf mage; hate me!

On the thread's subject, I'm against us actually using griffons/gryphons just because the current grey wardens aren't portrayed as the thing of myths.

I vote that Bioware comes up with a DLC what is like awakening where you can explore a larger new land where a new blight (Sigh, again already?) comes in and you find a griffon and you get to ride into battle with an air battle with the archedemon!
