Quick, let's also insist that the fact that TW3 has been formally announced and has screenshots out means that CDPR is inherently superior and TW3 is more dark, gritty and mature than DA:I, and also that Bioware are incompetent hacks.

You get no argument from me.

I don't like Witcher games. Too hetero male for my taste.

I haven't the slightest bit of interest in playing them since CDPR's mission seems to be aggressively alienating my demographic, but they are quite pretty visually.

Oh good, I was wondering how quickly someone would inanely assert that the existence of TW3 would affect Bioware.

But who wouldn't want to play a game in which banging women is a collectible!?

(I'm aware sex cards were removed in TW2, but good god, why did they think that was a good idea)

It reads like a "poisonous BSN post". Seriously, what kind of journalist
would say "markedly inferior product" on an article comparing two
products, without providing a shred of evidence ? And those internal
sources ? Highly suspicious.

Bioware should be proud; they're finally successful enough to be cool to hate. They should form a club with Blizzard.

That's a very dumb article.

What's worse is that a lot of people (on both forums) are already getting riled up. It's a stupid article with zero thought and facts behind it.

I don't get why they would be worried CDproject make RPGs, Bioware make action games, two different genres.

Not subtle enough, man. Your digs need to be only barely noticible.

Fanboy wars. They're like sports rivalries, but somehow even less respected by society.

This article is a waste of time.
Unless the games are released the same month (yhea, that would be a frontal fight), if they are sold with 2 or 3 month from each other the chance is high that the fans will buy both.

I intend to buy them both, unless something goes wrong with one of them.

Yhea... i'm one of this very stupid gamer that want to by quality stuff... not "i buy only what come out first".

They're action games because most of it is level scaled so the stats are basically irrelevant and can be ignored. Oh, it also has adventuring elements because of dialogue options, a thing which is quite common in the old school adventure games as seen from devs like Funcom, and Lucas Arts before they fired their cleverness department who were in charge of games like monkey island

If DAI is a good game I will buy it, along with TW3. Simple as that.

As The Twitcher is unlikely to see the light of day on Play station. I have no choice in the matter but to go with Bioware for a third time.

I think they said they are trying to get the Witcher 3 on all platforms and they will be next gen platforms.

Good Lord.

And I just can't get past "reaputation". I now have this image of a looming CDPR beckoning the competition with a skeletal hand and holding a big ominous scythe.

Oh come on, you're on a Bioware site, surely you thought of

Witcher vs DA threads usually don't end well. It is possible to enjoy both. Its okay. Really, it is.

Lulz "reliable inside networks." Didn't Mr. Gaider mention JUST the other day that fans seem to love the idea of devs competing with each other?

Combat based on player skill and not character skill. Or, games where combat where YOU, the player, are making the character attack, as opposed to something like auto-attack or pausing.

Games like Mass Effect, The Witcher, Call of Duty, The Elder Scrolls, etc.

Think FPS/TPS, although what is considered twitch varies within the genre. Basically if the combat is heavily reflex based its considered twitch(games where its possible to kill and be killed very quickly are usually considered twitch).

It's mostly used as an insult now, for games that use your reactions to play a game.  Rather than letting the stats dictate combat outcomes.

I think you have that backwards. TW2 is far more actiony than the vast majority of Bioware games, DA2 included.
