I guess carrying old people to wave 11 is a bit like helping them over the street :)

It`s always great and amusing to hear the dreams of the younger folk:innocent:

I'm 37, so by this thread's standards quite young. This makes me feel good.

I have several folks over 40 on my f-list, but no one over 50, as far as I know. I think it's time to correct that: if you're of an advanced age and play on PC, shoot me an invite: FTL_Dodo.

That goes for the young'uns as well :D

Man I'm about to turn 23 in two months and after seeing this topic I'm just glad that I've probably only ran into like three, 12 year old kids who used their mic on this game, and I'm friends with two really great older Gentlemen from the forum here.

40 years young here, I like this thread lol
I've been playing games since before Atari/Pong, when we had to actually program them manually on a Link480Z and I'd hazard a guess that most over 40's are playing still because it's in their blood from a mis-spent youth....

My God. I was one of the lucky ones to have a Pong game when they came out. Telstar I think it was. I actually had all my consoles until my mom and dad moved and tossed them. I had Atari 2600, the 7800, a PC I forget which one, Intellivision, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis.....good grief......and I complained my parents never got me anything........

Pitfall Harry ruled by the way.

Pong II/Commodore 64/Sega Genesis.

But since all my friends had NES/Super NES, I didn't miss out on many games.

Good ol' Pitfall. Two hours in you make a mistake. Back to the beginning! Wheee!

I'm 40, riding a Yamaha 650 Dragstar classic, and fondly remember building a customised 286 PC, boosted up to 4MB of RAM. Old fart status... Recognised!

44 here and can still remember taking my $5 weekly allowance and blowing it at the arcade. Ahhh the days of Donkey King and Robotron and so many cool games back in the day. Consoles were just starting to come out and looked like ass, but were fun at the time.

It is pretty awesome knowing there are such older people playing, making feel pretty young at 44. Love it. Gaming is for the kid at heart and I imagine I will be playing well into my older years too.

Remember this: age ain't nuthin but a number..it's all in your head, and especially your heart

Well, you either grow old or die young. Those are your choices. 28 here.

I'm 30 and have some grey hair so I guess I qualify too. It's funny when I talk to kids or teens about video games and I bring up NES or Sega master system and they have almost no clue what I'm talking about. One of my clients for my work is a teenager and he just got arkham city for his wii u. I was helping him through the game with tips on combat and whatnot and his mother looked at me like wtf how do you know how to play video games.

No wonder why we have such a polite and mature community! I think its awesome there are so many older gamers here; it gives me hope that Ill be doing the same when I get there. Im pretty young but I do have gray hair so I get to be curmudgeonly sometimes.

Mass Effect 3 is my first multiplayer experience and at 43 I have gotten "you are how old?" countless times. I think it is funny and I just keep pwning those youths!

I'm not sure. I don't generally ask how old someone is, but those that have freely volunteered the information were either younger than me or in my same age group (I'm 27).

Only "old fart" I KNOW I have played with is my husband, who just turned 41 last week, bless his heart. Image IPB

Correction: Derek is actually the oldest I've played with... we did a few matches together and he's a bit older than hubby. Image IPB

I am 41 and have been playing videogames since I was 8 with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum.Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, plenty of PCs, All the released consoles....damn, I am a VG addict and I love playing with my 10 and 8 year old sons and be beaten to pulp by them

But hell, I also play guitar on a profesional metal band ( POWERDRIVE ) where the bassist is 23 years...so I guess I should be feeling like a dinosaur

More importantly, still have grass to mow!

I used to love playing Excite Bike on the NES. And I used to shoot the dog from Duckhunt when he laughed at me.

A 56 year old about 6 months ago. If on xbox might be same person. He was friends with FlamesxOfxHells mother, who played on his account. It was six months ago. It might have been her that was close to that age. I forget.
