Random events in a modded game is a totally another thing.

But by liking/defending things like Geth and other cheap buggy behaviour and asking for more - you're sending the devs a clear message that you are stupid and do not notice artificial challenge. So they will not spend any time designing a good/creative/fun enemy. No. They will scrap a Dragoon or a Bomber in 5 minutes and call it good.

Air Quotes shame on you.
Sinking to personal insults now?
I thought you were more civil than that.

I accept whatever a game dishes out at me.
If I don't like it I don't play it.

So what if I like artificial challenge?
It's just one thing more to overcome.

Artificial challenge may just be artificial but there's one thing it can also be.
Interesting.

Oh and the sheer satisfaction I get from beating someone who clearly cheats is fun for me.
And why are we still arguing personal prefrence?
Can't you just accept that there's people who disagree with you and not everyone is ''stupid'' for liking something you don't?

I'm not quite sure how you have gathered over 1200 hours into MP if there's so much to complain about. The feedback helps, I guess. But as a hobby, how can you stand so much BS and still play?

That being said, /signed. Either remove spawn immunity or give players revive immunity.

I like the overall feel. I like role-playing.

And Bioware could make a gold mine out of it's Mass Effect MP. Both for plyers and themselves. So I'm "complaining" for their benefit and hope they make ME4 better. We need to show them that we're not idiots and we notice BS things.

It's not a personal insult. I was generalizing. I though you get it. :P

And they are stupid if they like enemies who spawn behind them and can kill them in 2 seconds, while they can't do a thing to them. It's just true.

And if all people accepted EVERYTHING the game dishes out at them, then games would NEVER get better.

It's 2013. Not 2002.

This is one of those many changes that was added to make the game less "exploitable," but ended up screwing the gameplay in other areas. It would be nice if they focused more on fixing things that were actually broken in the first place.  There was nothing wrong with the spawns as they were.  It's not like this deterred speed runs anyway.  I'd be okay with spawn immunity if we were immune to the spawned enemies attack over the same duration.  It's pretty ridiculous when 3 rocket troopers spawn and immediately fire 6+ rockets at you, but you can't damage them.

Fine. Have enemies with immunity. Just don't let them kill the player the moment they spawn on his head. Because it's absolutely stupid. And there's NOTHING the player can do about it. Especially when the newly spawned enemies get pre-seeded with all info anbout the player and shoot with 100% accuracy.

Hyperbole.

Also didn't you just describe the enemies in horror games?
Can't kill them, they kill you real fast, all you really can do is run. Were going towards dead space one difficulty spike at a time WOOOOOH!!
Pyramid head comes to mind.

I actually think games have gotten steadily worse since the early 2000s.
Oh and sweeping generalization is bad mkay?

They nuke it anyway. And if I use a rocket I expect them to die.

Point is - enemies cheat like ****s. They can spawn on railings, cabins, they can jet pack up, down. Whatever. And shoot you in the back. While you can't hurt them.

Ziegrif, bro - you don't make ANY sense now.

When I'm playing a horror game like Silent Hill, Amnesia or something - I KNOW I'm playing a survival horror game. And the game actually "tells" you that you can't fight..

And ME3 is a shooter. I'm playing as special ops soldiers (and Volus).

Why do they get in the first place? Enemies cheat like hell, spawn behind you, spawn on top of you and they shoot the instant they spawn. Why are they also completely immune to damage for like 3 seconds?

I know that Centurion is going to jet boot up that ledge, I line up a perfect Javelin headshot - boom, and nothing. He then healtgates me in a microsecond. WTF?

Any noob can control spawns and spawn nuke. so nope :P

I couldn't agree more with the notion that finding ways to "reliabely" kill off the player with no regard for skill is not fun game design. I don't like invincible (or near invincible) enemies spawning right behind me if I can't do anything to them before I'm dead.

If they didn't shoot till they are vulnerable, or lost their spawn DR, it would be better. The game shouldn't be balanced around speed-runners (or anything having to do with the cobra imo).

I'm not spawn nuking you primadona. I know that the Phantom I just killied will spawn behind me, so I'm ready for her. Problem is - she can shoot me, while I can't do anything to her. Get it?

Well I'm making perfect sense to me and you are making zero to me at least.

It was just an observation but if were getting enemies that work the same way that enemies in a horror setting shouldn't we just take a page from that book for at least till the DR wears off? I.E run away for a bit then shoot?

And if I want to kill a spawn I just missile it. Hasn't failed me yet enemy spawn DR or no.
Seriously all of this can be solved by taking cover for a bit! You save a bullet! Maybe get a better vantage point! What the hell is the hurry? The enemy is not going anywhere, you have enough firepower to keep going, it's 6 seconds right?

There are bigger problems than 6 seconds of DR like the game crashing for PS3 people, Volus locking up other players, GIANT TURIAN LEGS!

Seriously! Can we just take a damn truce here?

I don't think you understand what I'm saying or what I'm arguing about. I don't care about rocketing.

My biggest problem is with the cheating enemy spawns. I know that the moment I put a slug to that Phantoms skull - another one is going to jump behind me, and you can't run because she'll snipe you faster than you can say F**k. So you can't run and you can't attack her cuz she takes NO DAMAGE.

No dmg for 6 seconds after spawning right?
You use a power on her and she stays put, doesn't matter anyway she isn't taking dmg but she will still follow her programming and shield up. Then you run and take cover and don't tell me that you don't always have an escape plan ready for any and all situations. You've played what? Over a 1000 hours?
THERE IS ALWAYS AN OPTION!

But I do agree that Phantom movement DR is kinda overkill.

Oh and even if something is true, if you keep on yelling about it everyday people get desentizised towards what you preach and some will get annoyed, ignoring you.

That's not the point. It can be a Phantom it can be a Marauder or 3 Marauders at once. And if you don't kill them all in 2 seconds - you're dead.

Someone killed a Hunter on another side of the map. He spawn on top of you. Shoots you. You try to shoot back - he takes no damage. You die. Is that fair?

And I don't care if someone get's annoyed because I posted things how they really are. If I see BS I call it BS. I don't sugar coat it.

And the ammount of bugs and cheapness in a game this size and complexity is staggering. And don't tell me - if you don't like it - dont play it. That's not a solution. The solution is to fix it and never repeat it in the future.

I find that Air Quotes generally has legitimate gripes about design decisions and bugs that detract from the gameplay.  It would be one thing if he was complaining about trivialities, but these things do take away from the game, and they would also be helpful for BioWare to think about and consider for future games.

Checks calendar. New day. Checks BSN. New Air Quotes whine thread. Notes perfect correlation over the last 6 months. Throws away calendar, as it's completely redundant so long as BSN and Air Quotes continue their coexistence.
