Because it's a challenge that I can't realistically match yet. The furthest I've made it in non-Kroguard Gold games is wave 7. Only given it a real try about 4 times, twice with the Slayer and once with the Asariguard and Drellguard, but I would like to feel like I've earned the Lone Wolf banner.

Bronze/Silver solos mostly exist to grind out challenges with weapons that I couldn't kill fast enough with in most games, and absolutely couldn't carry with in Gold games. Those are much simpler.

Why do you solo?

 I don't generally when I can avoid it, but I often do some soloing when I need to fill a requirement for an achievement (ie extractions on certain maps no one wants to run) 

 Or if I need to get damage points with a really crappy gun that would probably get me kicked from a gold match for an achievement. I don't generally find the playstyle fun myself.

Because Lone Wolf Banner seems to be the one that took the least time to complete and it sure did for me. Then I saw most of my friends graduated from Plat solo so I did it.

I guess that's true about the lone wolf banner taking the least amount of time. It sure did compared to this 200 wave crap I have to do with classes I generally dont play much.

Because pugs seem to help me to fail rather than help me to win. This is true. Me having to run to a area to revive a team mate tends to get me downed. If i'm on my own, it's just me, me and me VS the enemies.

Also it's a new rule created by Chief Urdnot Wrex for young Krogan to beat the living **** out of Reaper by yourself in Giant because there is not many Thresher Maw left.

Its fun, plus if I have no luck with PUGs or if friends are busy, I can play by myself.

I don't intentionally solo. I did it for the Lone Wolf banner and I do it for some of the weekend challenges, but lately I've been hosting and immediately starting the game without waiting for anyone to come into the lobby. Sometimes people join during the game, sometimes not. If not, I'm forced to solo.

I did mine for two main reasons:
1. For the banner ofcourse.
2. To actually get the hang of kiting in this game, because before that I was often left alone on gold during the last few waves and not being good at kiting is just a disaster.

But mainly for the banner.

It was part of the challenges and i wanted them all done. Also it was fun to test my abilities playing solo. Found it usefull also for the Nomad challenge. Didnt want to force people playing one map just to achieve my own goals. After all its a team based game.
