I can follow your thinking, and your point is good. and as you say, if you dig far enough, you have to find holes in most games series.

The game may or may not raise to your expectations however i don't believe you or anyone else for that matter deserve a say on how good it is without even purchasing it in the first place. Yes the game may not live to the expectations that it's predecessor set for it. But that doesn't mean you can tear it to pieces without even giving it a chance in the first place. Seeing as you haven't even bought it , makes me think you can't really express any kind of feedback about it.
