Is it even worth keeping as token power, or should I spec out of it entirely?

Use Lash right in their face and instantly hit the heavy melee as soon as the animation starts for what is easily... THE GREATEST HATESURFING EVER!!! I'm talking about Hatesurf of epic proportions here... surfing extremely great distances, 180 degree surfs are extremely common, etc.
If you don't believe me, ask ManBearPig and MoFuggerX... I played a bunch of games with them where I was doing this and the are no lolz in this game that can compare. I laughed my ass off for 4 games straight.
You don't even have to sacrifice much to get full Lash on him.
My build is this:
6 - Charge
6 - Lash
3 - Blade Armor
5 - Passives
6 - Fitness
By only putting 3 ranks in Blade Armor, you really don't give up much IMO. At rank 4 you lose 15% melee damage (big whoop) or 5% DR (big whoop), rank 5 you lose Recharge speed (big whoop) or Damage Returned (which is bugged), rank 6 you lose 10% DR or recharge speed (both are not needed).
The reason all that DR at ranks 4 and 6 aren't needed is b/c the heavy melee animation gives you so much DR that it's redundant. You can still tank Cerberus Turrets and all the other nasty crap with 3 ranks of Blade Armor.
I know BSN hates Lash... and for the most part I do too... but I cannot deny how epicly awesome it is on the Batarian Brawler. Just trust me on this one and give it a try.
Also... enemies don't dodge Lash when you use it in melee range. I hit Phantoms with it EVERY SINGLE TIME. It also provides limited CC, and gives the Brawler something he can use during objectives like hacks/escorts.
Edit: Screw this... BSN needs to see this post... I'm making my own thread.

I can make Lash work on him, but I prefer to skip it, slap a Raider on him and destroy all things.
I'm a huge raider fan but I use the wraith because, with the omni-blade, it helps keep BC cooldown low.

Why you should spec into lash
Nah, much better with BC. And survivability on a melee charater is much better than lash.

But it's hatesurfing... BACKWARDS
tbh, I haven't specced into it myself yet

You're only giving up 15% DR... it's not that much. Especially when you factor in the insane DR from the Heavy Melee animation.
Even with a moderately heavy weapon your cooldown will be up after a Lash/Heavy Melee combo... so you can charge right afterward if your shields are damaged.

Why?
You're the one who asked the question in the OP.

Still don't think lash is necessary, by any stretch of the imagination, on the batguard.
Without it... it's an extremely bland kit. All you have is charge, shoot and melee... it gets old pretty quick.
Why don't you try it before passing judgement... you might find that you really like it.

Omniblade adds no weight to either the Wraith or Raider (assuming you don't put on some other weapon with ULM)

Even w/o it.
