widow just doesn't kill mooks fast enough, it's fine if you have the perfect team watching your back, but for all practical purposes the BW is superior.

The black beauty, its too annoying when I miss with the widow so 3 shots is brilliant. I still miss 3 shots though sometimes against those ninja nemesis.

Black Widow. I don't generally care for single-shot weapons because they cripple me when they miss. I always seem to miss more if the weapon can only hold one shot at a time. It's annoying. Even if I was a better shot, I'd still prefer BW though. The Widow is powerful, no doubt. I adored it in ME2 and the ME3 Beta. But for mooks its kinda overkill. It shines on bosses but has a drawback on mooks. The BW works a lot better on mooks since you can often kill them with one shot with it so thats three dead mooks before a reload.

I originally liked the Widow more, just because I enjoyed the one hit kills, but the black widow has grown on me. I prefer that one now. I need the extra shot for when my target gets charged out of sight.

I prefer the Widow. One shot, one kill (or more, depending). I also hate the scoped recoil of the Black Widow too much to use it.

I have a Widow X and a BW II so right now I still go with the Widow since it packs a bigger punch for me.

M-98 Widow. Because if you need more than one shot in the barrel you are doing it wrong.

I personally like the Black Widow over the Widow. I like multi-shot SR's, but I do appreciate the power of a Single Shot SR.

widow. if i cant use reload cancel, then maaaybe the black widow, but I like the per-shot power of the standard widow. Plus black widow is UR, so, f that, lol.

No, but if I can't have that I'd go with the Black Widow. Three shots, three dead mooks (or more, depending on how they're lined up). The Widow doesn't kill stuff fast enough for me. Haven't used it in forever.

Until I get them both to the same level to see how they compete, it's gotta be the classic Widow for me. As cool as the BW is, my Widow just blows it out of the water still. You only need one shot, anyways.

Both I like both evenly

I have used both on a basis of even power and learnt eachs nuances etc.

Widow is a great 1 shot weapon

BW is a great Triple threat 

Widows got more ace in the hole power and pierce distance

BW got more room for errors or pure shattering shots

They're both good weapons, of course.

Basically it's more damage vs. 3 shots, hence the BW is more forgiving if
you're not very focused--what happens sometimes ;-).
IMO the three shots are more useful in the most gaming situations, and
the less damage inflicted is bearable.

So it would be BLACK WIDOW, if I had the choice. (phasic-rounds neglected)

Widow: Preferred on my human engineer.

Black Widow: For my Drelldept and Infidrell.

Those are pretty much the only kits I use either on.
