Looking back, do you still feel as upset about the ending, or did you come to terms with it?

Then the rage happened. I tried playing again, got to Mars, thought "What's the point?" and didn't pick it up again for nearly a year.
Now I'm replaying it again.
Won't lie I really had to force myself through Earth and Mars. The silly Crucible plot and the horrible set up of Shepard being grounded for no adequately expanded reason coupled with the horrible speech he gives ("We fight or we die - thats the plan! Ugh) makes it, for me, truly painful to play.
But then comes the middle of the game and I had forgotten how much there is to enjoy. There is something fantastic about Tuchunka, everything I have ever done makes a difference and its brilliant. Especially Mordin. Rannoch is also fantastic. Some of the N7 missions I also really enjoyed.
The Coup is still baffling and really rather pointless in the grand scheme of things (though shooting Udina is always fun) and the intro of Kai Leng makes me cringe.
But then Thessia happens. Very bipolar feelings about this one. Half great (especially with Javik) and then of course bloody Leng and the bloody Catalyst conversation with Vendetta.
Long story short. I was horribly confused, very angry now Im at a point where Ive found theres enough in the game to actually play it again and enjoy it. The loss of focus on the Reapers in the middle of the game is actually a blessing for me because it shoves most of the silliness in the plot to one side for 20 hours or so.
I still hate the ending, but I can play ME3 again, and I can certainly now play and thoroughly enjoy 1 and 2 without the feeling of "Whats the point?"

Can live with it, yes it doesn't deter me of playing the whole trilogy.

It's still a narrative, thematic and logical mess. The emotion I feel is still confusion, so that hasn't changed. I still desire a discussion with the developers over the ending and the game at large.

The endings - outside of Destroy - are still confusing.
Don't pretend Destroy isn't confusing.
This was a joke.
Even if I was totally free - I would never chose any ending other than Destroy. This the the ending the narrative is working towards over the course of all 3 games, and if you find it confusing, you're really beyond saving.
But the other three endings don't get enough credit either, some flaws and plotholes notwithstanding. People complain that they would be disconnected from the story, out of the blue, or whatever, but that's simply not true. Control is closely connected to themes in the Illusive Man narrative, Synthesis is closely connected to the reaper's narrative, their logic. You might find these choices morally wrong, you might say that your Shepard would have never made theses choices (neither would mine), you might claim that they stand against anything you fought for. But that doesn't mean the endings themselves are "bad" - you were just given one last chance to fail, one last chance to buy into the Illusive Man resp. the reapers.

The ending is still a logical and unsatisfying mess, but if I ever get to playing ME3 again I'll most likely pick destroy again or maybe try MEHEM. Having played the game twice already though, I just don't get the same drive I had with ME1 and ME2 to see it through once more.

Still I gotta hand it to Bioware, they've managed to create a franchise where the players feel a deep connection between them and their characters. I have never experienced something even close to it in any game/movie or anything

It's a piece of fiction, there's nothing to "come to terms" with. You either liked it or you didn't. No point "coming to terms" with it. It's not like something incredibly jarring happened in your real life.
That isn't your call to make. Perhaps ME is an integral part of some peoples' life, because they spent so much time playing it as a hobby.

The endings are still horrible and those responsible should be prevented from making similar mistakes in the future

I've come to terms with the game being unplayable for me and current state of bioware's marketing policy. I'm willing to give DA3 (or DA:I) a shot if I hear good things from trusted sources, past that though I'm heading for greener pastures.

Although, EC is still garbage and the endings are still franchise breaking for me. Even though I've accepted the endings, I'm still filled with utter disappointment and sometimes pure hatred.
