Seriously though, I didn't think it was bad. People are just exaggerating how much an issue this actually is.
EDIT:
WAIT, Diana Allers was bad. Her entire character's purpose is sex appeal.
Why don't people like sexy character?

uh...she also has THREE armored clothing. Also, are you telling me that Asari made armor for Asari themselves should not have breasts? Because I see no alliance logo in her armor, ME1 is another story but back then she was wearing light armor, which lacks in plating, and while I dislike unrealistic armor myself wholesome of these armors given the context can be okMr Massakka wrote...
Everyone in ME1 has "boobs armor", including Liara.crimzontearz wrote...
well, fist off she only had ONE armor in ME3, and no one has to say it is alliance issued. all her other suits looks like armored clothing, you know, plated-up as opposed to hardsuits. I am ok with that for Liara. Ash tho? Not so much...does she not have a less armored-suit appearance now as of the latest app pack? I Simething resembling Anderson's outfit post intro?
In ME3 this is her Alliance outfit and this is her ridiculous other armor.
No need to defend Liara. It hits every single female I can think of.

My suspicion is that, because of the limitations the devs had in ME1, some of us players gave the devs WAY more credit than they deserved. In ME3, we see their fully realised vision and can judge it accordingly.pirate1802 wrote...

I'll be devil's advocate here (though I agree with you): How do you know Ash's personality change and putting boobs on a computer (EDI) was less to "sex-up" the characters and more so that BW just ran out of interesting ideas for those characters? By completely changing the characters, they opened up new story-line possibilities. (though an unusually large chest still can't be explained).

Wasn't saying it was surprising and that they didn't go a bit overboard a few times (Miranda), was just a general observation.

Never had a problem with Miranda. Granted, the heels are ridiculous but the no armor part didn't bother me. She pretty much is a civilian and more importantly doesn't look like she could wear a 50 pound heavy bodyarmor.
Ashley however....first, honest to god, if they didn't call her by name I would never have guessed that's the same character, looks completely different.
And having her badmouthing Miranda because she doesn't go into battle in swimwear, while lying wounded in bed and still managing to stick her recent boobjob into our face (seriously animators...what the hell?) is hilarous.
Shame about the character....couldn't take her seriously anymore after that and wished I'd stuck with Kaidan.

Everything in her design seemed to fit her character. I wish ALL the ME2 characters wore armor when they went into combat but whatever...
In ME3, tweaking Ashley and giving EDI a ridiculously desperate design just felt forced.

Instead of space credits, you would have space debt that your side missions would go to paying off, but never fully because the interest rate would always outpace your income. NPCs would get to tell you what to do and you wouldn't get to decide because you need the money.
Sounds awesome doesn't it?

I've seen a lot of threads complaining about the EDIs body,or Ashley "Mirandification".Sincerly i don't understand why you should hate them, having a sexy character is always a good think, because characters became more attractive. What do you think?
Or Fenris being too anime or something.
Maybe people are insecure? I find EDI's body and Ashley's hair just fine.
Only "sexy" character I didn't like visualy was Miranda. But that's because she kinda looks like Michael Jackson. I did like the character thou. So that's ok.

1: They're mostly ridiculous. Not only they're not fitted for combat (except EDI, obviously), it's also too clear BioWare went for the sex instead of characterism and logic.
2. Jealousy. Why can't the men wear something sexy to combat? The only one who did was Thane, and well... He's a frog-man.

I think Kaidan is sexy as hell. But it's more subtle than Ashley and EDI. In my opinion, it's sexy done right, given the context and the setting. That's why no one complains that Kaidan is too fanservicey.

Well I have to admit I probably subconsciously look more at women but still ...
The game didn't have Jacob leaning over as obviously did it?
Actually I did catch myself thinking that it was a bit silly outfit... -..-
