Ashley's always had "dem lips." Again I see nothing inherently bad about her starting to wear makeup and actually having a hairstyle. Torso expansion, maybe? I didn't even notice her uniform was a miniskirt to be honest, so I don't think it was very obvious. Or I am completely oblivious (possible!).

I'm waiting for the dlc mission where I go to the beach with kaiden and garrus in short shorts and half tops sharing an ice cream cone

I have no problem with "sexy" characters if it makes sense for that character. Its when you have characters that are changed and suddenly look OOC that it bothers me, Ash being the main example. Her new look does not work with her personality. Maybe if during down time she had let her hair down, it would have been fine, but I expect a Marine to be dressed appropriately when on duty.

The opposite goes for Miranda, I would have liked to see her in more appropriate combat gear during missions.

When Bioware releases an alternate appearance pack with an outfit that highlights Vega's moose knuckle we'll be even-steven, kk?

There's a difference between sexy and exploitative, based upon context.

Miranda and her outfit are fine, considering ME's meta-narrative and her characterization. The male gaze camera angles push it from acceptable to exploitative, because it objectifies the character, and undermines the tenor and content of the conversation pieces in which they occur. It's kind of hard to take a character-establishing conversation seriously when her ass is stuck in the camera a significant amount of time.

Oh okay. But now they are stupidly shiny. It was subtle enough not to bother me in ME1.

I guess my question then becomes whether or not that's the standard human female model or whether it's an Ashley-specific model. Either way, that picture you posted of Ashley's full ME3 model doesn't give her double Ds or anything. I'm not even sure if her stuff's actually bigger compared to ME1, or it's just her oufit isn't armor anymore which is naturally less form-fitting.

I don't really have a problem with this, if indeed females would find this attractive. It's just one outfit in a few, after all.

She is lying down. "Stuff" doesn't look like that when a woman is lying down. Not unless it's plastic.

Also, lingering camera angles that caress. every. single. bulge.

Well... ME models don't have... boob bones. Literally. So there's no animations for them. The model is just the same as lingerie model, but with the t-shirt sprayed on. So, if devs didn't wanted to make a rig with... breast physics, or a model with less prominent chest... they picked the "lazy" way to do things (copy existing mesh with different texture). Take that as you will.

I understand the limitations although I would embrace (hee hee) realism should they decide to implement it. That doesn't excuse her going up a couple of sizes, though.

Go for it. My sister just started ME3, and she goes down to talk to James, and all I hear is:

"You come down here for somethin', or just enjoying the view?"
"I came to talk, but I might stay for the show."

We both started laughing our ass off. The humor in this game is stellar.

And this applies to FemShep and Normandy's female population with the moment they wore freshly designed SR2 uniforms, not just Ashley.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with sexy characters.  I don't know what the problem is with people who take issue with this.

When I'm indulging myself to a fantasy world, I want the characters to look attractive.  And I don't understand those who wouldn't.

EDI, Miranda, Ashley, Liara, Tali, Aria, Jack; they are all feminine and sexy in their own way, and I like them like that.  I would not like them as much if they were ugly or plain.  Nor would like the male characters as much if they were fat ugly slobs.

So lets not pretend that this something only female characters are prviy to.

Default Male Commander Shepard? Designed to be an attractive fella.  Jacob? Same thing.  Kaidan? Again, attractive.  He's a well groomed, clean cut guy.  Even Zaeed has the gruff, but manly look.  And all have fit, well defined bodies.

Bioware designs its characters, both men & women to be attractive, because as a whole, people like to fantasize about attractive characters in story.

And for those of you who don't find certain individuals in ME attractive: that's fine, but get over it.  Realize that you are the minority.

I will personally enjoy looking at Miranda's ass every now and then, while I laugh at all of you whiners and complainers for being miserable about everything all the time.

Doesn't matter what it looks like only what it is, plus I never thought it was anything but a Jacket and pants.

Kaiden without a shirt is "fan-service" but Ashley with a tight shirt is "objectification" I guess.

It's neither funny nor sad - it's pathetic. Most of the ME characters were attractive as it was. There was no need to over-sexualize it. Makes it look like Bioware thinks we're all drooling 30 year old virgins.

That and I'm not a fan of big boobs

Even so, you don't wear such jackets to combat. It looks like something that a general's female assistant would war at his office.

I agree that why Ashley has armour to wear into combat.

But in her free time she should be allowed to wear whatever she wants.

Anyways even Tali has proper armor now....
