I have a question for all of thee, if you would but answer it for me
For there is a game I wish to play, the name of which...
...oh, screw it. Has anyone here played Dead Island? I'm on a bit of a zombie high thanks to The Walking Dead and need a good fix, and this game piqued my curiosity a bit.

I personally think it's a brilliant game. Graphics are good enough to the male the tropical island look good.
Story wise it's meh. Gameplay is good to play, the town has some rubbish spots like a blood texture is repeated.
Either way, it's a 4 player co-op free roam zombie game. What more do you want?

I'd definitely recommend it. I had a hell of a lot of fun playing as Purna. I used her rage mode constantly. My husband played as Sam B. That guy is hilarious, and makes a good meat shield. Plus, Who Do You Voodoo?
Like Naughty said, the story is kinda lukewarm, but the gameplay is great. Playing sp is ok, but it's more fun with some company.

I enjoyed my time with Dead Island, no doubt about it. But I never found myself coming back to it, especially with the multiple other games I had that just were much more entertaining.
The Story is a joke (some scenes try to be emotional, and epicly fail in the process due to no context or any history with the characters.) The weapons tend to break to easily, and guns are not helpful in the slightest. What it did give me, however, was excitement and carnage. When I played as Sam B, I didn't even need a weapon, I was taking on zombie hordes with nothing but my fists.
