Yeah, yeah, I know, paragon choices and stuff.

Title.

Reasons are obvious.

I'm thinking about both Rannoch mission and Destroy ending, because you can never be sure.

I think that we, the MP community should start lobbying for canonising these SP options. Let's tell everyone that it fits all the Mass Effect themes better .

It probably won't matter what the canon ending is in terms of how it affects the future of MP, we did get Collectors after all.

The Geth have inpenetrable plot armor... they aren't going anywhere.

Only to make the ME3 ending completely and utterly meaningless. I would rather not.
Or... are you a troll?

What choices you make in SP should affect what characters you have available in MP.

In multiplayer, it doesn't matter. ME3's co-op doesn't always make sense (for instance, volus fighting geth on Earth).

In single player, I think it's best to just barely mention the geth. If they were destroyed, they're gone. If not, they may have finally isolated themselves as originally planned.

NO!
I want ALL the endings to get canonised!
Destroy manages to destroy part of the reapers and some geth, driving a huge wrench into the politics of machines and organics due to a last chance message from the reapers to the heretics explaining that whatever happened to shepard was the cause of the metallic genocide.

Control side would make 1/3rds of the reaper forces into a absolute force of order protecting teh relays and for some odd reason the center of the galaxy. Where a small planet survives in a sea of blackholes and on that planet there's something powerful and mysterious. OOOOOOOOH!~

Then the Synthesis side of the whole shebang takes control of 1/3rd of the whole population of the galaxy. Turning them into a force of essentially Borg with emotions.

Then we got the survivors being attacked by the borg and the mechanized forces and exploring the great unknown of the center.

Also on topic. I'd rather keep my GI thank you very much SO NO!!

Regardless what ending you choose, if they ever chose to make an ME sequal that takes place after ME3 they could simply have the quarians decide to re-make the Geth. The big problem with taking the Destruction option is that the Reapers are no longer present to maintain the cycle and prevent synthetic life from eventually going ape**** and destroying organics. At least that's what I got from the "interesting" direction of ME3's ending.

Or they'll just retcon something.

Canon in a multi-choice game is simply a hilarious concept.

True, but they will have to pick a fixed starting point for logistical reasons
