Fine by me - it's just that the Geth might have found a way to transfer their brightest runtime libraries (geth.stunlock.io v.5.6 et al.) to another galaxy, knowing that Shepard would kick them in the butt.
Unnoticed by the rest of our galaxy they begin a century-long grand undertaking to return in force and make the galaxy pay for its treachery.

I've yet to play a game in which the geth were destroyed on Rannoch. So from my point of view it makes zero sense to canonise one side dying over the other. It's going to biggest challenges for the Mass Effect franchise going forward -- every game has to get exponentially more complicated as the branching choices pile up. If they can't keep that going without retconning bits of the reaper war, is there any point in playing?
Anyway, as far as multiplayer is concerned, canon doesn't really matter IMHO. It's nice seeing geth fighting alongside quarians on reaper fronts, as an extension of the singleplayer experience. But it's also awesome to bring eclectic teams of guys together to face enemies in incongruous locations. It's cool to fight geth and collectors on Menae as ex-cerberus and drell soldiers.

Nah that's not a big enough mess.
I want them to go full blown Dragon Break on this ****.
It's a term from elder scrolls when linear time gets screwed up and things happen in an overlapping succession. I.e everything happens at the same time. That'll screw up everything spectacularly more. Oh and I actually haven't played invisible war so dunno how big a mess that'd be.

- Shepard merged with reapers (ergo dead, Reapers still out there)
- Geth are alive
- Batarians find refuge in human controlled space

SP aside, I think there's enough complaints about (geth) stunlock that if there's a similar MP mode in a future game they will try and avoid this issue happening again.

Pretty much yes. I don't regret my decision.

Oh and Pyth my freezer is too small to house bodies in it.
My apartment is too small for that aswell.
I also don't have enough preparations, gear, money, weapons to start causing ''disappearances'' around the town I live. It'd also be a bad idea due to Finnish towns being extremely small and almost everyone being connected to each other in some way.
One of the reasons why we rarely get serial killers is that there's not enough people to disappear into crowds and keep killings going. Mass murderes we have a plenty though.

Oh and I have a mean bone in my body. You haven't played with me when I'm pissed off or don't want to be bothered.
