Does the M-90 Indra need a buff?

I just finished Sniper Rifle Mastery and due to this I got used to the scopes in this game. As I was trying out the scope mods on the ARs and SMGs I noticed that 2 weapons out pace it in DPS and 2 comes really close to maching its DPS.
I tested all four weapons and the Indra at level X with the same character, a Level 3 Stabilization Module, a level 1 rail amp, and a level 5 Gear amp.
The weapons are the Revenant, the Harrier, the Hurricane, and the Tempest.
All four had their HVB and their base scope mod, the Indra had both its HVB and its AP mod.
Of course both the Harrier and the Hurricane out DPSed it, the Revenant was neck and neck with the Indra, and while the Tempest didn't out DPS the Indra it came really close to matching it.
Now I did check the weapon spreadsheet and if I'm reading right, it confirms what I noticed doing my test.
So what do you think? Does the M-90 Indra need a buff?
Note: If I'm missing something or if I'm reading the spreadsheet wrong please tell me.

If anything I'd like to see the hipfire penalty taken away or greatly reduced.

Hipfire penalty removal would be all it needs for me. WIsh Bioware would have had the foresight to do this to this sniper rifle.

You may say "But that only applies for infiltrators" well . . yeah. Almost every sniper rifle is the same way.

Yeah for some reason not aiming through the scope seems to reduce the caliber of the round, the velocity it leaves the barrel, etc.
It's one of the stupidest mechanics I've seen in a video game. Why Biower would decide to penalize people for no-scoping is beyond me. I guess the Devs got their brains blown out in COD one too many times by some kid spamming his .50 cal in close quarters.

On any class that isn't an infiltrator maybe, but with a sniper specced infiltrator all the damage boosts make it superior to any of those other weapons, with the possible exception of the harrier and the hurricane, but those two are both top tier weapons anyway.

Infiltrators make everything work.

Valiant needs a buff too. Even at lvl IX its still greatly outclassed by the BW and Javelin
It took forever but I finally found a niche for my Valiant X... Engineers w/ Incendiary ammo.

Again - what you don't see in the spreadsheets is what we call the 'under the hood' mechanics of the weapon. It is very easy to score headshots for the entire magazine. When you account for that, the gun is nearly overpowered. I would say that it is an excellently balanced weapon.

Check the DPS at X nearly as same as BlackWidow, i say it is good right now.

I remember during the demo thinking something was bugged when I would cleary hit enemies and not do the correct damage. I was quite upset and then I found out it was a by design. Which made me even angrier

Actually both the Hurricane and the Tempest were lighter then the Indra.

Well... that makes sense since they're SMGs.
Indra has both of them beat in the Range/Stability department... but obviously the SMGs win in CQC.

No, but it, and all sniper rifles need a hip fire penalty INCREASE.
Why do you feel that way?

Its already got more dps then quite a number of heavier assault rifles so I dont think it really warrants a buff though it would be nice.
A better choice for a buff would be the Argus which is less powerful and less accurate than the Indra while weighing exactly twice as much.
