What are you supposed to do to be able to hack a datapad in ME2? It doesn't explain what you have to do and I only seem to be able to move the box up, down, left and right with the WASD keys but apart from that, it isn't made clear what you have to do and I always run out of time!

It's challenging at first, but the idea is to match the sequence you see up top with what is scrolllng below. Don't touch the red squares with "X's" and don't click on anything that doesn't match. As far as time goes, you can go to Harrot on Omega and buy the Hack Modular which should buy you more time. Hope this helps.

Yeah I tried that but clicking with the left or right button doesn't seem to do anything even when it looks to me like it's matched whats up the top. Thankyou for your help my friend

Ah, I had the same problem. Took me ages to find out that you use the spacebar instead of the mouse.

If you got how it works (WASD & Spacebar), it is by far the easiest Minigame, timewise you should be able to finish it in 10% of the given time.
