I have exhausted my conversation options with Gregoire in the first room of the Circle Tower and I cannot get past the first door. The door is locked and I see no way of getting past it. The game auto-saves immediately after talking with Gregoire, so I'm stuck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you offer to clear out the tower? If so you should just be able to click on it and watch the cutscene.

I've heard of this happening before. It's a bug where if you don't immediately agree to clear the tower, you have to exit the tower, and then try talking to him, and then approach the door.
Someone else once mentioned completing Redcliffe first, but I can't confirm that one, and that would be a long trek just to test it.
