Sigh... poor Cole.
Yay. One more Cole Fan.
His chaotic good character was so fresh and perfectly beautiful.
I love the scene in episode 3.15, where Cole tries to find the connection to Leo and the father of the sisters in the basement.

I don't find anything about Cole attractive, but Anders was blond, skinny and scruffy. His torso had a weird cilinder shape, but his arms were twigs compared to Hawke's.
Anders had an amazing bone structure, his jaw specifically. He's not my cup o' tea as far as LI's go (I love his Act 2 arc, but he gets very manipulative in Act 3 and makes me uncomfortable) but I can't argue against his looks.
I think it's ridiculous that we haven't had a brunette love interest yet. Zevran, Alistair, Anders = blondes; Fenris = white-haired. Cole is blonde & so is Cullen, so that continues the trend if they're both LIs. It's not a huge deal as I like either/or, but the lack of a dark haired man at this point has become somewhat glaring.
PS I love the idea of Evan Peters as a model for Cole. His roles in American Horror Story always had him looking sad & crazed, so it's a perfect fit.

I assumed (if the leaked survey is anything to go by) that Cole wouldn't be a romance option, though my assumption is based on guesses and nothing more. From what very little I read or saw (and assuming any of that was actually accurate), I figured that Cullen and the magister Dorian were the most likely romance options.Tootles FTW wrote...

But like I said, take all of that with a grain of salt. It's just my opinion, and based on hearsay and rumor, at that.

That was my assumptiont, too. Still, I would totally squee with delight if Cole were in fact a LI. Since I'm pretty sure I won't be able to make a cute character (as opposed to gruff and manly, classic male human BW CC creation), then I'd sure love to romance one! And Cole sounds adorable (if deadly lol).
In real life I'm into brunets and not blonds, but the lack of brunets in the DA games doesn't bother me because I don't really have to be attracted to my character's LI (in fact I never am), but I can undersatnd the frustration.

In interested in romancing the middle-aged Grey Warden. He has dark haired and older, too. He wouldn't fit the typical LIs we have for Bioware, so I really doubt he's a LI.

Sebastian was brunet, but he doesn't count for obvious reasons. Not only was he not s/s available (Hey, BW, where was our gay prince or lesbian princess, hmmm?) but I'd hardly call his "romance" a, well, romance.
Nothing wrong with chaste romances. It was actually something different and I applaud them for putting it in. It was just as intimate as a more sexual romance.

I really want a royal LI. I haven't played a game where you can romance a prince as a S/S yet. It just seems like something that hasn't been done before.

You might not, but there are people who would, and they get awfully sick of seeing "lol that wasn't a romance, there wasn't any sex!" As though the entire point of a romance is sex. Romance has to do with a lot of things besides sex; you can screw Jethann, but that doesn't make him a romance. You can't screw Sebastian, but that doesn't make him not a romance. The fact that he is literally the only LI who can canonly marry Hawke should put that idea paid.
Might not be what you would want, but that doesn't mean you should **** on the whole idea.

I've actually been curious about his romance for awhile, but I'll never complete it, because I'll never be able to bring myself to kill Anders.LinksOcarina wrote...

Though, in practise, I concur with Battlebloodmage. While a romance doesn't have to be about sex, or have sex be the focus, I'm of the opinion that it's a natural part of most relationships and feels empty (for me) when left out.
Anyway, on topic: I'd probably romance the Grey Warden, too. Especially with a male character. I think the dynamic could be really interesting.

Yea, I mentioned this before about Cole but I couldn't see him being a LI as he appeared in Asunder. And though I really want to meet a Tevinter magister who wasn't a complete ****-hat, I kinda want the rumored companion to be a snarky, elitist jerk that we can torment mercilessly (plus sexytimes

The idea that a romance has to have sex to be a romance is rather unfortunate... and narrow-minded. Asexual people exist and they struggle to be accepted and understood just like anyone else in this thread.
Romance, regardless of one's sexual orientation (or lackthereof), does not need sex. There's such a thing as a chaste romance, after all.

It's okay to criticize the Sebastian romance as something you don't like; just don't criticize real people and their sexualities (duh).

While I did find the new movie to have a little too much singing *ducks flying rotten tomatoes* I have always been fascinated by the French Revolution, as awful as it was... but in fiction, revolutions are great things to become immersed in! Although I often find that my PC isn't particularly interesed in either side; I had to create a Nord in Skyrim to actually care about the revolution there... my two elves could give a crap lol

I care about the storytelling part of the storyline and what the chaste relationship meant for my character. I don't care about the sex scene, but the narrative aspect of the relationship. It just seems like a very unfulfilled life specifically for my character. That is why I'm very icky toward a tragic romance as well. I usually prefer happy endings for my characters, and certain aspects of the romance such as a sexless marriage would interfere with my headcanon.
