so....why are we nerfing things in a non-competitive game? They could just use weekend ops to declare "avenger season" or "vanilla human soldier" season to encourage a more varied use.
A balanced co-op game still results in more replayability than weekend operations can do, which will typically result in people soloing a single bronze game then going back to playing with the other setup. At best they'll play 1 Gold/Plat then go back to the old setup.
Balance is a good thing for every game, even a single-player one. It just doesn't need to be as tightly balanced as it would in a competitive PvP game.
Take Skyrim for example. I love playing thief/assassin characters in those types of games and I was actually pretty excited to hear I could finally play a melee assassin without screwing over one of my other stats or doing really poor damage(like in Oblivion).
The end result however is that it was so incredibly OP that I got bored after 1 shotting an Elder Dragon because of completely insane sneak attack modifiers on daggers. I'd have had more fun with the character if it was nerfed.

I don't think BioWare would let me mod Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer =P
Though I do mod Skyrim, it was an example of before I had downloaded any. Not every game is going to have as big of a modding community as TES does.

Use Deadly Dragon, Skyre, Immersive Creature and play at Expert or Above. Welcome to a world of pain, have fun killing Dragons without enchanted weapon and elemental/magic resist.Cyonan wrote...

Besides, it's one of the precious few guns in the game that actually make it feel like I'm shooting someone with a gun instead of a super soaker, barring shotguns.

I'd prefer they just buff everything else instead.

I hope that in Reckoning there's a character that can dual-wield, so that I can equip two Harriers. One for myself, and one in your name for the one you're not using. I'll nickname it 'The General.'
lol
Incidently, no nerf!! I'm fed up of hearing about it...

OP admits post was (apparently a successful) troll attempt on page 3. Bsn continues to froth at the mouth for 4 and counting pages.

Nah, the OP is one of the few that regularly posts about nerfing the harrier. Saying a thread is a troll thread is a common tactic to not look like a utter moron when you have so much pushback. Add 1 + 1 =?

Seriously, I am fed up with this. This gun really spoils people, once they use it, they won't ever use a weapon that is harder to use, even if it deals more damage (doesn't apply to all of course). And it is supposed to be heavy. Quit using it on Adepts and Engineers.
Bioware, nerf please. For serious. Or just remove this IPod gun.

2 Questions...
1. Why is this here?
2. Why is this starting up again?
The Harrier is the most balanced gun, yes there's a little issue with ammo and a bit of an issue with stability. But it's balanced, with the issue of Ammo box (i heard there's a making love metaphor out there somewhere.)
Stop wasting Bioware's time with this... they're not going to nerf it. Instead, ask for buffs to the other ARs.

Shut up and play the non-competitive, multiplayer, non-pvp co-op game.
