As I'm working my way through the weapons challenges, I've found that some of the really "good" guns just don't get along with me. Others, that aren't often talked about or looken down on have been surprisingly enjoyable.

For example, at first I hated the Hornet SMG, but it didn't take long for me to figure out how to counter the stability issues and keep it firing at a rapid clip. I love it for shredding armor. In fact, I may even prefer it to the harrier and claymore (which I hadn't thought possible). But the success of the gun largely depends on how well you can rock when it rolls.

I was also surprised to find that I sort of like the crusader.

So how about you guys? Have you come across a gun that is widely disregarded/underrated/challenging that you find surprisingly fun? Or a specific gun that just suits you?

Mattock and Claymore.  Can't decide.

Edit:  I didn't know how to reload cancel, then I did.  Then I fell in love with the Claymore, but I have always enjoyed using the Mattock.

I always enjoy using those weapons.

collector smg otherwise for casters and power users while i evil laugh at people humping ammo boxes with harriers :3 (wich i outscore with a flamer rather easially)

oh and for shooting tanks.... PPR *smile at ammo users*

Locust, Crusader, Viper are all weapons that I enjoy using that I feel no one ever gives enough respect to. Especially the Crusader, people hate on the Crusader because not very many people understand how the gun works, and therefore they don't do as well with it as they woud with say, a Claymore.

I hated the change from unlimited ammo in ME1 to thermal packs in ME2 (felt like a change to a more generic Gears of War type playstyle), so when I got a hold of the PPR in ME3, I used it for the rest of the game. I use it in MP on my TGI and sometimes my Destroyer.

I scoffed at the Talon in mp until I used it, and then I realized how awesome it was. It’s now my go-to for any power spam class (unless I’m playing a biotic who needs shield strip, in which case I used Acolyte). The Talon is my most-used gun, since my Drell Assassin uses it, and that’s my most-used class.
