I remember that you have it as options, but you need to click on the option for them to talk about it. I remember Zevran only hits on me if I pick something like "I notice you've been staring at me a lot".Rawgrim wrote...

I think if the game is good, people will buy it. Skyrim has "bisexuality" in it, and it sold extremely well. DAO had it as well, even though they don't have the homosexual LIs (Isabela and Anders) initiate the move but still.
I think Zevran and Leliana can initiate moves.

In that case, why not just not have flirting at all unless one of the characters just happens to be flirtarious? Which, incidentally, is what we got anyway.
But they don't would rather not homosexuals flirting with them. And that still isn't solved by what we have (at least for DA ][--ME3 was a bit better and honestly the way I'd prefer the romantic interaction to go. Romantic interaction, not the specific numbers and full-party or non-party aspect).
I never really liked the All-BI set up anyways. I know it is fantasy, but even in fantasy, four bisexuals/demisexuals joining the party around the same time frame, that seemed really unrealistic.

I'd prefer they did it like DA ][ usually did it (outside of Anders or Isabella) or ME3, actually: have the comanions say slightly leading things that you can choose to take up or ignore.
And it wouldn't bother you if a male character made "leading" statements (to use your word) toward your male PC? Or, I suppose, if a female character did the same?
I suppose what I'm getting at is that if some characters can't be overly flirtatious, then none of them should, gay or straight.
And if that's something you're for, then fair enough. I liked that our companions in DA2 expressed an interest in the PC (a lot, actually), but can agree to disagree.

Leliana-Compliments on your hair, some do not see that as flirting, but it did seem she was making a move, just a little.
Zevran-does sound a little flirty with his compliments when he is talking you into sparing him.

Still beat only having one option to choose from. If you don't like the only option available, tough luck. If Cortez was the only option, my Shep would have been forever alone.
Its a roleplaying game, though. Not a dating sim. I didn`t like any of the love interests in ME1. Tought luck for me too. The game was still damn good.

Yes, and I didn't romance anyone in the game. The game was still good, but ME1 wasn't made for me. ME3 overall was better personally for me because the game was made with me in mind. I don't think you understand the feeling of inclusion after being excluded game after game. It's not a big part of the game; however, it was something a feature that enhanced the game greatly for me because I can narrate the story the way I want to. I don't want to be treated different, just equal. I don't care about bisexuality, if the game allows me to have options just like the straight counterpart, I'm happy. I only support "bisexuality" if I would end up being forced to stuck with just one romance while others have 2 or more.Rawgrim wrote...

How would you all feel about adding S/S NPC romance options? whether that be in addition to party ones or not, it does not matter.
If you think it is a good idea, say so and state your reason why. If you do not, say so and state your reason why not.

Sure I understand the exclusion. With me being a straight male, I had 2 romance options in DA2. One was Merrill, and the other was Isabela. Now since I don`t really fancy the idea of romancing a 12 year old girl, I was left with Isabela. So in my case, I had just 1 option in DA2. And thats no biggie, since I have played rpgs since the late 80s, and romances in games is pretty much a new thing.

That's exactly it, you have options, if Isabela is the only choice for you, it wouldn't be an option at all. Romance in the games have been in so many games, but it's usually between heterosexual. The difference is you usually force to romance the leading girl while playing as the protagonist, subtle or not. Final Fantasy would have at least one in each game, Chrono Trigger, Harvest Moon, Resident Evil, Suikoden, Fire Emblem, etc. If I have options, I don't care if everyone is bisexuals or straight or whatever.Rawgrim wrote...

Thats the thing. i had only 1 real option, because I don`t want to romance a 12 year old. Bisexuals had 4 options in the game. Straight ones had 2. In my case, i had no option but isabela. So thats pretty much the same as what a homosexual male would have in DA:O. Zevran, or nobody.

I think that's the point Battlebloodmage is trying to make. Whether or not you wanted to romance Merrill, there were still two options for you; and because Merrill creeped you out, you could romance Isabela. While in Origins, for instance, a woman that was creeped out by Leliana had no other option. There wasn't a fall-back plan, like with you and Isabela. That was it.
Yes, as a bisexual female, I did have four options. I won't lie and say I didn't enjoy having everyone open to my character. But I'm not sure what can be done about it, while still keeping things fair (2 love interests each) for gay and straight players. So that when you, or anyone, comes across a love interest that they just can't stand, there's a second option.

As comparison many people who liked the same sex only had the option of Leliana or Zevran. Who many did not like. If you do not like an option at least it is nice to have a second one you can choose, not just Merrill, but Merrill and Isabela.

I'd prefer if the LI remained herosexual(BI) reflective of the playthrough personally as it seems the best resource to content & choice solution. I'd accept the 2 hetro, 2 bi, 2 S/S companions as long as this increase in LI was matched by an increase in the resources devoted to the romance content to match the increase in LI's.

I think what he is trying to say Rawgrim, is you had two options, but you didn't like one, thankfully you had Isabela as an option instead. If Merrill was the only Female character you could romance than you wouldn't have had anyone, thankfully there were two options, Merrill and Isabela and you got to pick the one you liked more.

Ohh i get what he is saying. Its not that. Its just that i felt like one of my "options" left me feeling like I was about to commit a fellony by having sex with a minor. And thats not an option (for me). So in effect I had 1 take it or leave it romance.
