Most of the threads with wish lists for DAI have lists of aspects of the game make a huge difference to the game, plot, characters, combat, i.e. the game makers or breakers, but have to be implemented right from the start of development. Things that don't have to be thought of right at right at the start, but can inserted whenever, and can just polish a game, removing irritations or making life easier or just raising a smile when playing. Here are some of mine

Weapon Swaps - DAO allowed you equip two weapons sets and swap quickly, and it was great for softening up a enemy with arrows then hitting them with a big hammer, or swapping from fire to ice staffs depending on the daemon. I miss this.

Label items as junk- Saw this in Kingdoms of Amalur, you can label items as junk them dump them when selling or just destroy them.

Mission critical items don’t count towards item limit- does what it says on the tin

Custom idle animations- had my entire female group in DA2 doing the same animation in sync, immersion breaking to the max.

Key bindings – please, please, please keep the key bindings the same as previous games, l used so many grenades going back from ME2 to ME1

I will admit that I don’t know how difficult these things are to implement (and I sure someone will tell me), but they aren’t things that are deal breakers but would make the game more enjoyable. What small things would you like to see?

No conversations starting as I'm running towards an area exit.

Trigger points were so wrong in DA:O

The return of oil!!! I wanna see those slippery patches of oil on the floor again that can turn into a continuous burning area after being hit by fire.

DA2 automatically decides what is junk. I think he is saying have the choice to label an item yourself as junk you will sell later?

If you give Isabela to Arishok, special resource will not be avaliable to you. It is a two levels of experience.
And this is bad. so if you spare this... woman, you will be rewarded, if you will not however game will punish you.

Aside from the stuff that is automatically junk (stuff that has no practical use in game at all, just for selling), you can list stuff as junk yourself.

DA2 just autosorted useless items like torn trousers and broken charms as Junk. Amalur used "Junk" as a sort of temporary wastebin where you could throw any regular useful loot you get through the game to be given a second look later -outlevelled armor/weapons, or potions, crystals and crafting materials you don't intend to use. Because of the way classes and weapon usage work in Amalur, sometimes you really need every crappy weapon out of your sight so you can quickly switch between your premium best pieces mid-combat, and having a purgatory-zone where you can throw everything you don't need right now to check back later (to decide whether to sell, destroy or salvage for parts) really helped keeping a clean inventory.

I agree that some sort of system like this would work in DA too. A lot of times you end up with an inventory cluttered with outlevelled items (in DA:O it's the chainmail that drops like rain, in DA2 it's the amulets and rings and amulets and rings oh god so many amulets and rings), and it'd be nice to put it all into a temp wastebin until you find the next merchant, leaving only the items you do intend to use in your inventory.

When in a tavern I want my character be able to order a drink, not just stand around like he/she doesn't know what to do.

We could do that in Baldurs gate.

That's what I thought too. And from memory, it retains it's value when you move it to Junk. In that case, I think he has what he wants. Otherwise, I got nothing.

ETA - Riverbanks has the skinny.

I would like female characters to walk like regular human beings and not like their hips are broken!

Not all the same default body so that anyone from a priest to a mage is super bowed up.

Not all female NPCs about town wearing dresses ... more wearing like what Tallis wore at the party.

More comments from the PC, and part of banter, a la MOTA.

Kill animations acknowledge that archers are actually archers!! (thanks MOTA!)

No more breasts in suspended animation... if a female character has large breasts, and they are perfectly position, please have her wear the appropriate clothing that holds them in place.

Facial hair that doesn't lock jaws and mouths into a single setting.

More shades for skin color. If I want to make a creepy mage who's paler than an albino I should be able to, even if it's a little silly. Actually, while I'm at it, I'll also ask for more hair colors, including some slightly outlandish ones. Dying hair crazy colors with random substances has existed IRL for millenia. We should be able to have some slightly unusual hair colors in a fantasy game.

More than 5 eyebrow shapes, and more basic eye shapes.

Adjustable lighting in the CC.

The Mirror of Transformation, or something similar.

No autodialogue.

Also, no dialogue triggers near combat triggers (as Yendor_Trawz said). If a conversation does get interrupted by combat it should just stop and go back into the banter pool so you get to hear it again.

Quick Weapon Swap and Quick Armor Swap. (Mainly so I can switch to something that makes more sense for wear about town, while not getting killed because of it when surprise combat starts.

The return of the Rogue's "Below the Belt" ability. Kicking enemies in the crotch never gets old!

Complete with victim reaction of doubling over, grabbing crotch, eyes crossed, going "Oooooph!", and then slooooowly toppling over sideways.

I second facial scars. We had them in ME1, so I don't know why they got taken out of every Bioware game after that (not counting the Renegade scars)

Hiding helmets like in DA2

Hair that actually moves please. The 'long' hairstyles and the ponytail(s) in DAO look terrible when the character is moving their heads and the hair just sits there... static. The DA2 hairstyles were better but the old ones still were just... bad :/

Custom animations/bodies for companion characters, especially if they're going to have preset outfits already.

Agreed on the conversation trigger points. I missed so much dialogue through both games because they would start up right as I was leaving the area or right as we were entering combat/entering a loud area.

If we're bringing back the party camp, how about having the characters actually doing things rather than just standing around awkwardly. Have them move or be in different positions every time you enter camp. Maybe have like the Dog cutscenes with the characters interacting with each other (I actually really liked that in DA2 - I felt like it didn't happen enough though).

I second this, while i don't mind the names of some of the weapons and armor, having this as an option would be great especially if you meet a blacksmith like Wade who can do this.
