Just some harmless fun to break up the stream of non-information and sudden resurgence of romance threads.

What is going to be the backstory behind YOUR first DA3 playthrough?

What is your Warden's background? Do you have any siblings left at the end of DA2? Is Alistair king? Is Anders dead? What about The Architect? Were you Viscount of Kirkwall? Who did you romance?

Asked because I'm thinking of replaying both Origins and DA2 at the moment and am struggling to decide what Origin and gender to play as for Origins. Currently I'm tossing up between male Cousland/Amell and female Cousland/Amell/Tabris. But I pretty much always do the nice guy play through: save connor, destroy anvil, end curse, save mages etc. I still haven't managed to finish a DA2 playthrough yet, but regardless of gender I'll side with the mages and save Circle!Bethany and not sure what I'll do with Anders.

I might even change my mind depending on who is involved in DA3 and to what capacity (mainly Morrigan, Alistair and Anders) to reflect their relevance to the story.

Maybe already done, sorry if so. And obviously asked assuming there is some measure of importing, whether it be by game saves, checklist, interactive comic etc.

Well my DA:O will definitely be my HN female married to Alistair- that's a no brainer. My Hawke is a bit more difficult though. I'm torn between my pro-mage mage FHawke in a rivalmance with Fenris and my anti-mage mage FHawke in a rivalmance with Anders. I'll have to look at the game and who the pC is before I decide.

Overall my warden was a bit of a arrogant "unpleasant person"

Hard to tell, in DA:O i have 5 different characters(Mage and Nobles). With one agenda in mind, to create strong fighting force against the Blight.
So:
Saved Redcliffe.
Saved mages.
Saved Conor and Isolda (because there is no cut scene of intimacy with desire demon Bioware!)
Jowan surrendered to Circle.
Zathrian died during lifting the curse (simply because elf > werewolf as fighting unit).
Bhalen is a King.
Anvil preserved.
Zevran lives.
Sten have his sword.
Leliana hardened through slaying of her former mistress.
Loghain lives.
Alistair married Anora/ Warden married Anora (which means Alistair is a drunk)
Dark Ritual by Warden or Loghain.
Andrastian cultists killed, Ashes preserved.
Flemeth "killed".
Vigil Keep saved in 4 cases of 5.
Architect killed.

DA2... well.
Anders is dead in 5 of 5 situations.
3 of 5 Hawkes sided with Templars.
Patrice lives in 1 situation of 5.
Arishok lives in 1 situation of 5.
All siblings alive.

Doing an entire new run starting from Origins to DA2. I may import that one into DA3 if I decide to buy it.

my plans for this new run are as followed:
DA:O (noble warrior dwarf)
- save the circle.
- make Bhelin king.
- romance leliana, break up with her (the not cheating on her way) and then romance morrigan.
- slaughter the dalish.
- keep the anvil.
- destroy the urn.
- make Alistair king and Loghain a warden.
- unsure which ending I'll do.

DA2
- keeping the werewolves alive
- Side with the Templars
- everything else I'll make up as I go.

My canon DA:O playthrough... Rowan Tabris! a male City Elf rogue (archer), romanced Zevran, recruited everyone, friends with everyone. I can't remember if he saved Connor, Isolde, or both lol Killed Loghain. Alistair did the Dark Ritual. Alistair was made king, and Anora was tossed in the dungeon, mwhahaha!!

Canon DA2... either Eirik Hawke (sarcastic rogue) or Nemanja Hawke (diplomatic rogue). Both friendmanced Fenris. Pro-mage. Bethany in the circle I THINK (Eirik's Bethany may be a Warden). Saved Anders. Sebastian stomped away in a huff. Saved Feynriel. Can't remember about Merrill's clan. Friends with everyone. So Isabela stayed of course. They're both good guys... Petrice is dead, Arishok is dead, etc.

Depends on DA 3. What are our origins in DA 3? Open for player to define themselves like Skyrim? Selectable playable origins like DAO or fixed background like DA 2?

I do not have any roleplayable character in DA 2. Hawke is not my character. He's BioWare's character. Therefore I do NOT have any fictional siblings in DA 2. I do have one fictional sibling in DAO. And his name is Fergus.

DA 2. None There is no me. And I'm not interested to play match maker role for BioWare's Hawke. See, how silly third person roleplaying and POV is? Still, some people just love to view in this type of perspective for their "roleplaying".

I have three recurring thematic saves I'll use for DA3:

Paladin Warrior Save: male warrior Cousland / made all the good guy choices / romanced Zevran / performed DR / crowned Alistair / Loghain dead / stabbed Morrigan / was still Warden-Commander throughout the DA2 timeline; followed by male warrior Hawke / romanced Fenris / sided with mages to save Bethany / spared Anders but told him to take a hike when he came back / ran off with Fenris, Bethany and the mabari. Neither of these PCs care about mages or templars and would not appreciate being dragged into their shennanigans again.

Renegade Rogue Save: male archer Mahariel / no romance / made all the jerk choices / recruited Loghain / married Anora and Alistair so everyone gets to be miserable / did not perform DR / been deader than dust for a decade; followed by female archer Andras whose choices are irrelevant I guess; followed by female archer Hawke / romanced Isabela / sided with templars / got shade from Templar Carver for her trouble / killed Anders / sailed away with Isabela and the dog. no1curr for the plight of mages in this playthrough either.

Mixed Bag Mage Save: female Amell / romanced Morrigan with edited save / which will probably corrupt future imports oops / sided with all the mages and against all the demons / crowned Anora / let Alistair stay with the Wardens / made him do the Dark Ritual / was Warden-Commander for five minutes then went through the Eluvian with Morrigan; followed by male mage Hawke / romanced Anders / sided with mages and spared Anders but broke up with him and is still mad about the whole thing / got an apology from Warden Carver that broke my heart / is probably my only character that cares for the mage-templar war. Kinda. Is a bit of a hypocrite as long as he's free himself, really just wants to be left alone in his little cabin in the woods, never asked for any of this. But if the war comes knocking on his door he'd have to be team mages, of course.

Heh. My saves kinda give away how much I don't care for the mage-templar war? We'll see what the larger plot of Inquisition holds in store, but I really hope it's more than just another round of evil mages versus evil templars again.

I didn't let any other companions die or lose the Hawke sibling in any saves because I'm weak and want to leave the door open for any future cameos and sidequests with old familiar faces that we may or may not get along the way.
