The Hardest choice in all ME games.

Every time I get into the forums to speculate about DA3 and such I see the ME forums and usually go, meh, it's over, stick a fork on it and let it die. What is the point, ME devs and writers aren't listening and never were.
Sometimes I am weak though and come here to post again -.-

At the time I first played Legion's loyalty mission the decision to destroy or overwrite the Geth Heretics was also one that I had to think long and hard about before deciding.

First ever playthrough of all three games?
Virmire survivor. Knowing someone was going to die based off that choice was hard. I sat there going back and forth between the names for a few minutes.
+1 here. I saved Ashley and...and...*bawls* oh Kaiden! he's gone! *Gets hugged by Ashley*. Yep. I too spent a ton of time on which I should save.

Playing full renegade and choose to save David or not in overlord...
though I play paragon, it was tough as a decision to not skip the scenes or even just watching it

Erasing or rewriting the Heretics. The only choice where I can't really decide which outcome is better.
lol I did the rewrite but then I learned in 3 that made my life harder

The Genophage cure also made me nervous. Then I remembered my buddy Wrex did not want to repeat the Krogan Rebellions, so I let Mordin go up. Sad to see him go though

Genophage. Even the most renegade of my renegade Sheps just can't kill Mordin. Did not try it with Mordin already dead or with Mordin possible to convince to go to hiding.
ahh was about to type that

Off thread topic - if you save the Rachni AFTER finishing Tuchanka, there is more buildup for their appearance since Shep and others get some dialog on the "strange" creatures attacking them on Tuchanka.

Mordin had been a good squadmate, a loyal friend, but alas, the Krogan were a compromise my pro-human Sheperd could not allow, and thus, due to his great idealism and grieving conscience, Mordin had to be put down.
Nobody likes putting down a good dog, even if it might be necessary
The easiest decisions were the council and the Rachni however.
Council: "I've been waiting for an oppertunity like this for a loooong time
Rachni: "Nope. Nooope. Noway I'm letting the zerg live!"

I didn't cure the Genophage with my first Renegade Shep, but it was easy because for whatever reason my game decided that Mordin had to die, (ME2) and if it wasn't Mordin it had to be someone else. I ended up with Padok Wiks creating the cure. I had already decided to trick the Krogan (this was before I got ME1 for PS3 and I didn't have the interactive backstory DLC), but having Padok trying to cure the Genophage made it much easier on me. Even more-so when he started wondering how Krogan mate (ugh... I can't get that conversation out of my head. It's even worse because he actually got me wondering too). I still think Eve's response was funny though.

I sat there for 5 minutes trying to figure who i wanted. I had a relationship with Ash, but Kaidan was my homeboy who I took on everything. Ended up with Ash.

Honestly, going into it blind with the EC, that would have been my toughest decision. In the vanilla game I was just confused, and before hitting the EC I'd already made up my mind.
As it stands probably the Ashley-Kaidan decision in ME1.

One that hasn't been mentioned that gets me everytime I play it is whether or not to bring Dr. Chakwas back on board in Mass Effect 3. It's a completely selfish decision to bring her on board when her expertise is much better served on the Crucible project, and I know that rationally I should go bring Dr. Michel instead.
Turning her down, and how much it appears to break her heart when you tell her to stay in the labs, was on of the hardest non-critical decision I've ever made.
And I still struggle with it every time it comes up. I don't always make the same decision....
