So I distinctly remember a video on youtube a few years back, interveiwing russian voice actors and watch them record their lines. I found it very interesting from the veiwpoint of Russia being the first into outer space and a space faring nation. Now the video is gone, along with any evidence of dialouge in russian.
Does anyone else remember this or am I just insane?

Emm . the game is available in tons of languages ,in fact that's why it's so big in terms of data in the first place. English Russian French German are just few of the languages available.
No need to search for any videos on youtube , just install the game in your preferred language.
As for Russia's viewpoint , well , i don't think it really makes any difference who got to space first in terms of Mass Effect Universe as there are now far more important events than that. Everything has a beginning , but there's one thing being the first human in space which evidently is important in terms of a planet and planetary history and a quite different thing meeting alien races and waring them , the council , 50.000 years old technology and many such events that raise on a stupendous galactic history. So maybe you have to be more specific as to what exactly you are trying to say.
Vostok 1 may have been launched 1961 but the first game's stardate is set in 2183 CE. Alot of things happen in 222 years. Moreso , the Mass Effect Revelations speaks about the events preceding 2148 when humanity spreads to the stars.
