I previously played ME2 on the PS3.   I couldn't import a ME1 character because it wasn't released on the PS3 back then.

Now that ME1 is finally available on PS3, can you import your ME1 PS3 character to ME2 on the PS3?

Also, does the PS3 version contain the expansions for ME1?   The Bring Down the Sky mission and Pinnacle Station?

Yes, you can import. No, it doesn't have both DLC as there was a problem converting Pinnacle Station for PS3, but they were able to do Bring Down the Sky which I believe is included on the disc if you buy the Trilogy. Not sure if you download it together or separately if you get the download version of ME1, but as it's free DLC on PC these days I expect it's free either way for PS3 players too.

Bring down the sky is part of the download,no pinnacle station for reasons stated and there is a patch to allow the import of a ME1 character.

PinnacleStation is included with any Mass Effect Trilogy copy.
