I'm sure them krogan got burly arms. They can keep 'em selves up without actually laying their weight on top of the asari.  Lol I'm sure there are plenty of fanfic writers by now who've figured something out.

Hell, just go to a rule34 porn to see how it works. Some of them use 3D models from nude fanmods even... N-n-not that I've looked at that stuff myself .

Why not? It puts her on top of you so you too see every part of her front half, and takes less effort. Win-win. Besides, I don't see Krogan like Charr having a problem with being underneath his blue rose.

Grunt is most certainly no Charr.

"Oh, Sharp Knife of Tuchanka, let your blade dig finger deep to the spine.
Let my scorching rage and massive strength turn Turian backs blue.
For if the Krogan are to survive, we must grow thorns to mutilate the hands of those who try to defeat us."

*Note* That last line was hard to do.

Oh... My... God. You remember how funny Grunt was in the Citadel party? Well he would have been even better had he attempted some poetry like this during it.

Until it comes to writing the plots for triple A games.
Then you just choose from a short list of exceptionally dull clichés and roll with it.

That Tali one is sooooo true. She was crushing on Femshep pretty hard in that scene and got nearly as flustered with her as she done with Maleshep. I'll put it this way, her chemistry with Femshep was so strong that if I used a mod that made Tali say all the romance stuff to Femshep and and the romance actually lock in and Hale voiced the Tali romance conversations too "just in case", the romance would seem perfectly fitting and in-character and not seem remotely modded in. I've always been steamed about Femshep not being allowed to romance Tali, because I know it would work well.

Ah well, at least Tali admits to herself that she would happily have a 3-some between Femshep Garrus and herself when she's drunk in the bathroom in the Citadel DLC. Sometimes I think she only didn't proposition Femshep is simply because being with another girl would weird her out too much to want to try it out...

I really enjoyed the Tali romance but I feel as though the "date" in Citadel DLC where you're both watching Fleet and Floatilla and the singing was a bit cheesy. Having a movie night was fine because it was romantic but once the singing started that threw me off.

I'm not saying the singing was bad or anything, to be fair I probably would've had a similar to reaction to any other character in that romantic situation. I'm sure plenty of people enjoyed it though.

Amen. The Tali romance was great... until the singing. It was cute and sweet and all that stuff, but I just couldn't help but feel that shep was sitting there trying not to laugh. In my next playthrough after this one, I'm gonna try a Tali romance to see if I've gotten past that, heh. I really do like the rest of the romance.

Haha! I imagined Shepard was sitting there as awkwardly as I was. With Tali it definitely should have been something romantic, but perhaps next time less singing and more watching a movie in front of a fireplace cuddling or something. Even something as simple as that can have such a big impact.

I think that was the point. It was actually awesome when you "get" that scene. It shows Tali is really really comfortable with Shepard and her relationship now, she isn't afraid to do embarrassing things in front of him that she wouldn't be caught dead doing with anyone else because she knows he loves her no matter what. It shows Shepard doesn't mind her weirder quirks like badly singing a song she holds dear. And I think you're supposed to feel like Shepard probably did, which was finding it ridiculous and funny, and the paragon and renegade choice is pretty much "you are just adorable and I didn't know you loved this movie so much" to "you have a cross-species fetish". So either way Shepard learns something new about his girlfriend, and shows he is accepted of even her awkward parts like her fangirl-ing over that song.

All in all, it is multifaceted enough to be amazing once you understand the layers of it.

I get that. I do. i totally get all that. And it definitely fits Tali's character. And I love Tali, don't get me wrong. And no offence to the VA, but... the singing. I felt like Joker when shep offered to dance with EDI. Maybe that makes me a terrible person but I don't care.

Citadel DLC.

If by 'no words' you mean it was It absolutely brutal, I agree. Worst romance-specific scene of the Citadel DLC, IMO. I felt bad for Tali's VA.

Although Ashley is my favorite romance by far, the story (or lack thereof) wasn't always very good. Especially in ME2 the Ashley romance was horrible, non existant really.

In ME3 it wasn't done that well either, lot of initial scenes and later on nothing.

They could have done a lot more with it. You don't always need extensive cut scenes to make a good romance, Bioware. A simple mail now and then, a remark or a short cutscene works wonders.

And again, I think that's exactly what you're supposed to be feeling like when it happens. And Tali is supposed to sound bad, she's not a singer in general and has to sing through a mask that somewhat distorts her voice, no way was it going to sound good. She's supposed to sound like what she is: a Quarian with no training or skill with singing trying to sing a song she loves so much she's memorized it... Like some American Idol singers, actually.

Yeah, that's what I mean, I get that.. and it's part of Tali's charm. But the actual singing. Han Shot First? This guy gets it:

Citadel DLC.

I feel like Tali's song wouldve been more bearable and endearing if it wasn't so serious.
Mordin is no Andrea Bocelli but his song is still enjoyable because it's so playful and he pulls it off
Leliana gets away with her song in DA:O because the singer had the skill pull off something so dramatic.

I actually cringed when I heard Leliana singing in the camp for the first time. I don't even hate the song itself, but it seemed so unnatural to the actual scene that I always skip over it.

You raise a great point here about it being different if it wasn't so serious. I mean I understand that it's Tali showing you a part of her that she probably showed no one else but her friends who watched it with her at the time. But perhaps they could've made it a bit less serious and more fun, maybe if both Tali and Shepard tried singing it, giggling and then ending on a serious note of watching the movie together.

I suppose everyone has a different idea of what would make it "perfect" for them.

Agreed, the song was fine, Leliana singing was fine. But it definitely seemed out of the blue.

1. Kaiden. But only when I hack ME1, to play as a gay MaleShep. Not much heppens with Kaiden in ME2, but ME3 (minus a few expected glitches) the hacked gay relationships plays very well.

2. Jack. in ME2 shes GREAT. ME3 only with Citadel installed.

3. Garrus. The ONLY relationshp I liked as Femshep. Garrus is great.

4. Ashley. She's a ****** - but a lovable one.

5. Maranda was fun too.

Worse:

1. Liara God I hate that ******. Actually it's not her - it's that the Dev's kind-of force her on you. Why would my gay Shepard go googly eyes for her when meeting her again on Mars?

Ones i wanted: Samara. Personally I'm in love with Samara. You do get some scenes with her in Citadel. But in ME2 she would've been perfect. Jack: first of all, Jack needed it bad. And I could see my FemShep falling for Jack.

Alright I'm game

Best-
Miranda (Shes onto something...something BIG)
Jack (Not sure why, I dig her)
Liara (Come on Bioware shes canon amd you know it)
Samara (Liked her in me2, sad she not a romance)

Worst:
Ashley (Shes too preachy for me honestly)
Tali (I like Tali but I'd friendzone her like nobodies business)
