Joker: "Because EDI says that according to your armor's metabolic scans, you're under more stress now than during the Skyllian Blitz. Like more than Elysium, where it was pretty much you versus ten thousand Batarians trying to kill you!"

Yeah. Shepard could've used some help.

That is actually a very valid point.

It is, but I'm not sure if Kelly's the right one for the job, given her own mental instability after the Collector abduction (which wasn't new to ME3).

Quid pro quo. Yeah, she has issues, understandably so. But it's not like Shepard couldn't help her. It could have been easily dealt with.

Mostly, I just dislike Traynor almost as much as I like Kelly. And knowing I could have had Kelly back on board and dump Traynor, well...

I'm not sure how a sit-down session with a shrink in ME would even work. Unless there's an option to throw something across the room or shoot a pillow to relieve stress and freak Kelly out, I don't think I'd very much care for it myself.

Too bad Shepard couldn't show up at the refugee camp wearing the collector armor. renegade +25

I don't see why that wouldn't be an option. Hell, any optional sessions could be a good way to give one's Shepard a little extra depth.

I suppose, though I'd never use this route because I kinda dislike the idea of Shepard bothering with some kind of therapy session on the Normandy anyway, since it only reminds me how much I dislike the dreams. Just the same, this is all a hard sell for me because I like Traynor a great deal more than Kelly. Aside from that, I can see the problem with the option to swap characters. This would likely require Traynor to either be some character we can pick up from the Citadel, or simply not exist (leaving you with no one if she dies in ME2), because there would be no good reason to kick Alliance personnel off to replace her with ex-Cerberus, especially one who is less skilled technically.

I think Traynor's tech skills are just there to legitimize her presence, since everything she does should've and could've been done by a combination of EDI and Liara.

Ultimately, it's about having more characters in general on the ship, just like how we now get to know our shuttle pilot, rather than Noface McGee flying the shuttles in ME2. Sure, EDI and Liara could pick up the slack, but then...EDI could do all of the work herself while Liara was off the ship permanently at the Crucible site doing her shadow broker thing, but where's the fun in that?

I like Kelly, but I couldn't trade Traynor for her. Plus, Kelly isn't particularly useful beyond the whole ship shrink thing.

She plays her role as a yeoman well. That's the point of her role on the Normandy. Fairly useful, though you really don't know what she does when the ships at battle-stations. Everyone crewman has a role aboard the ship in combat situations aside from their alert duties.

That's one of those moments I hated.

I was fine calling Joker out for being out of line, but I didn't like being told my Shepard was losing it.

Actually, the fact that Shepard was under so much stress, but the only (non) visual side effects were those stupid-ass dreams says a lot. Positively, of course.

The robot should've stayed as a hologram and replaced with an ME2 squadmate and T'soni should've been sent to Hackett and have Miranda back in her office.

Yes to all of the above, and I'm not even a Mirimancer.

Nobody would have any problems with the Alliance allowing one of Cerberus' top (ex-)officers aboard the Normandy, and in such a position of power?

And Traynor is a waste of perfectly good recyclable oxygen and, what's worse, developer's time that could have been spent on more important/interesting characters.

Or having that room be turned into a small gym should Miranda not survive the suicide mission.

I actually like the dreams. The whispers in the background of lost crew members were pretty cool.

I'd take Kelly over Traynor. She is cute, she takes care of my aquarium, brings me coffee, sorts my messages etc... etc  Traynor is just a smug, pointless character.

At least she doesn't put Shepard's armor in a glass case and have it on display like its some trophy.

I wouldn't. To my Shepard, any alliance personnel that says otherwise would be facing a summary execution.

Kelly II takes care of the aquarium now. It's not as cute, and it's more expensive, but it does the job, and it has the strongest plot armor of all.

Hold on one cotton-pickin' minute. What is this "sort message" shenanigans? The Cerberus Normandy clearly had no spam filter.

In reality? Technically, it's within my authority to execute for insubordination in a wartime environment.

As a Spectre, and as the guy (the only guy) who will win the war, I basically have the authority to do what I please.

'Respect mah autoritay!

I don't know. What if the red beam destroys the aquarium VI? Shepards fish will starve to death :(

I have to say I'm a little surprised at all the Traynor hate. I found her to be a rather unoffensive, benign character overall, and was a character that felt like an actual part of the crew rather than an administrative assistant whose sole purpose was to assess the gaggle of crazies I collected.
