You have to hand it to those crazy folks running Project Lazarus. Shepard is basically the 6 billion dollar man/woman.

They should play that sound effect whenever vanguard shep does a biotic charge.

Best romance: Femshep and Tali

Best Bromance: Manshep and Garrus

Worst Romance: Femshep and Kaiden. Or Shep and the reporter from ME3. Or Jacob and Femshep, that wasn't even a romance, that was a quick fling because Femshep was horny.

Or Femshep and Thane (barf!) Or Femshep and Garrus (barf!). I'm sorry but that's just beastiality to me and so very icky.

That's why you have an option to replace. Shepard's a Spectre who faces no retribution for killing the Quarians. S/he can do whatever s/he damn well pleases, apparently.

That's a pretty big plot hole.

The game would have me believe that Shephard gets grounded for blowing up a relay which ultimately lead to the destruction of some Batarians that everyone hates anyways and who aren't part of the Council races, but she faces absolutely no repercussions for completely destroying the Quarians who actually are part of the Council races.

Not really. They accidentally created an AI in violation of Council law. The Council stripped them of their embassy, loudly denounced them before the eyes of the galaxy and showed them to the airlock (then turned around and quietly exterminated the AI they had, themselves, created as seen in Citadel DLC). Seems to me the Council races mostly view them as a nuisance and have quietly hoped they would slink off to some dark corner of the galaxy to die for the last three hundred years.

If such things could be considered funny, the Council offered no aid against the Geth at the time of the uprising/genocide, mobilized dreadnoughts to bombard them off of at least one world they later tried to colonize, made no effort to find a place for them to settle down - but when the Reapers showed up, immediately in your Normandy inbox there's an editorial by a Turian contributor to ANN grousing about "Where are the Quarians? Don't they know we need their help, the greedy bastards?!" Really, after everything they've been through, they've earned the right to tell the rest of the galaxy to f*** off. Shepards who rail at them about piling on yet more Council sanctions don't deserve the time of day.

The really strange part, to me, is the non-reaction of your entire crew if you kill them off. You walk in on Kaidan and James playing poker in the lounge immediately afterwards, overhearing the former complaining about his losing streak.

Even if the Qunari lost their embassy, they were allowed to keep their status as members of the Council.

The Batarians on the other hand are actively hated by all, especially the human Alliance, and are not members of the Council. There is no way that performing an action that accidentally and unknowingly lead to the destruction of some hated nonentities like the Batarians could possibly lead to a harsh punishment whereas killing off the entire Qunari species would have no repercussions at all. That just isn't even remotely possible.

What nonreaction? In the video I saw, everyone was highly upset.

Yes, sounds like a bug to me. I remember Kaidan wondering how history will remember the quarians. But complaining about his losing streak? I didn't get the line, iirc.

Has anyone else noticed that "quarian" is a near-anagram to "Qunari"?   ;)

Why would/should Shepard face anything afterward? I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the council mounted an even higher horse to sit on and decided to wag their finger at Shepard, after providing no aid to the quarians themselves for hundreds of years, but technically, the geth killed them, or rather the quarians did it to themselves.

Favorite romance: Samara. Very short, but also very bittersweet.

Canon romance: Miranda. She probably would have been my favorite if BioWare hadn't thrown her character under the bus in ME3.

Favorite bromance: Javik, my brothean.

Glyph is the unsung hero of the series. I hope it survives to see the next game, and it can become like R2D2.

Nah, Vigil is the true unsung hero of the series. The VI dedicated 50,000 years of its "life" to stop the Reapers.

I wish we got Vigil instead of EDI in ME2 and ME3.

Well for Femshep the romances were limited.

  • Kaidan- Overall a good romance, there were problems and rocky spots which put off a lot of women (like me) when he had shot down Shepard on Horizon.
  • Garrus- The best  Femshep romance there is, nuff said
  • Thane- A very chaste relationship, it was great and very touching but his death in ME3 was just absolutely horrible and I don't even want to talk about it.
  • Jacob- Cheats on you
  • Liara- *sigh* It's just very forced and its hard to watch.

NPC romances for Femshep such as Samantha Traynor, and Kelly Chambers felt very afterthought to me.

Favorite(s): Garrus Vakarian, Thane Krios

Least Favorite(s): Jacob Taylor, Liara T'Soni, James Vega (Citadel DLC)

If there was one character I *wished* I could romance, it would be Joker.

MaleShep on the other hand (Those that I have watched videos of):

Favorite(s): Tali'Zorah, Jack

Least Favorite(s): Diana Allers,

Thrown under the bus?

Miranda can be saved in ME3, it isn't hard.

Thane was thrown under the bus, not Miranda.

I thought it was Allers?

Jacob gets a bonus if you have the Citadel DLC. I would nominate his Citadel DLC romance as #3 for best.

You know what, I keep forgetting that Allers is a lI option. That's how little attention I pay to her.
