[L2 Sentinel]

Male Shepard and Kaidan have such an amazing romance arc. I was not expecting it to touch me as much as it did. Raphael Sbarge does amazing work.

Exactly this. Every romance has this scene, but it means so much more when you are romancing a VS.


Jacob has the worst romance. I refuse to acknowledge Kelly, Diana, and Morinth as romances.

Best all things considered for me is Liara hands down. With LOTSB and the background laid out in the comics on how she went through hell and back to get Shepard's body back. Just by far the best arc.

I think my least favorite was Tali because it never really fit for me. She always seemed like a teenage girl who was pinning after you and then finally got her dream. Too much like a teen romance flick. Nothing against Tali, just her romance arc.

Best - Garrus and Tali's little romance arc, twas adorable.

Most dissapointed - Jack, how I do love thee though.

Worst - Jacob.



Overall, Jack's romance was the most emotional and best for me, even if I was dissapointed with certain aspects in ME3.

My favorite romances are

1. Ashley Williams - I like tough girls far more than girly girls. I like that though girl attitude. Also she is pretty. Her prejudices against aliens is only superficial. I like her loyalty towards her friends. Also she seems trustworthy to do what is right. Lastly, she seems all the right pieces from all the other romances. For example, she has the controlled toughness of Jack. The natural sexiness of Miranda. Girly side like Kelly, and the strong sense of family akin to Tali and her father.

2. Kelly Chambers - I like Kelly, she is pretty innocent, adventurous,always trying to help others. I would have liked her to be less of a girly girl, though. I would like to find someone like Kelly in real life if I couldn't find an "Ashley Williams".

3. Jack - I find crazy girls hot too. Also, I like Jack because she doesn't conform to what is pretty or normal is. She is herself even though her character mostly a shield. it is just a shield. She just needs someone to understand her. Understanding her makes her more interesting.

4. Miranda - I don't like her, somewhat because of her condescending attitude, toward others. I like her soft side though. That puts her at the bottom of my list.

Honorable mention - Tali - I liked her character in Mass Effect 1. She seemed more "real" as a character. In ME2 and ME3 ,her romance felt she was just a fan of Shep. Sort of how we like celebrities in the media. You can tell it was fan service mostly. In ME3 it was better though, though it felt like high school "boyfriend and girlfriend" type of relationship.Too bad, I would have like to have seen a real romance.

Liara - Even though I have a romance Liara romance save imported from ME1 -> ME2--> ME3 have I couldn't muster the energy to beat ME3 . Overall , she looks good, but she is boring as a character, which makes me uninterested in her. Overall my least favorite, I am not saying she is bad. but I am saying boring as heck.

Best: Liara. Just got the most attention from the devs and with all her scenes in ME3, it feels just right. But it's not only that, I liked her in ME1 and while I was disappointed by the way ME2 handled her, LotSB more than made up for it. So overall, the most fleshed out and fitting story.

Worst: Jacob "the priiize" Taylor, it would have been better to just use him for an NPC relationship arc with Miranda. Also Morinth for obvious reasons (if you want to count her)

And than there is the worst non-romance which is Jack because you cannot be nice and understanding towards her without romancing her (although she'd be the one who'd need it the most), what the hell was that?

Best: Miranda. I like that she doesn't default to being just another Shepard fangirl. Also, Miranda's romance feels more real than the others. I like the way Shepard gets her out of her shell and shows her that she can embrace her upbringing rather than be ashamed.

Worst: Tali. My first ME2 playthrough was a Tali romance. She came off more like a groupie. I haven't experienced it, but from what I've been told, the ME3 continuation isn't anything special either.

Miranda. Awesome character in ME2, and ME3. The romance scene in ME3 was a little...underwhelming compared to the one in ME2.

Ashley. I just hated her.

Best: Garrus. I was in tears at the final good bye (and not the ****** EC one)

Worst: Jacob, Thane and Jack. Jacob is a dirty cheater, and when Thane dies Femshep acts like he didn't even exist anymore. Fail. With Jack it's really lame "oh hey how's it going first guy I genuinely loved and who loves me right back. Sorry gotta go and never talk to you again"
