I use it occasionally, and the few times I do bring it with me, it ends up being a good idea, if at least to get some meat shields up when i decide to gel and no one else will.

Yeah, but you have to die on purpose near them. And 30 meters usually gets 1 person up.

Its a pretty decent gear but I never use it mostly cause I never feel the need to.

I equip only when I'm with a tight group that I know will go down.

Imagine a world where people aren't as good as you are, and it isn't hard to imagine why people would use it.

I'm not going elitist over here. I'm just saying that keeping yourself alive and dishing damage plus rezing others manually is better most of the time than dying to rez them.

It was most likely created as an attempt to combat revive chains.

To be fair though, I think Bioware intended this gear to be for teams which are in tight spots.

3+ people down close to eachother? Time to Medi-Gel

I'm guessing that if all 4 players were using a level V medigel transmitter, there would be some big benefits, especially if they were all trying as a group to move up a difficulty level.

But, that's a pretty specific situation.

Box of shame. That's the only use I can think of.

Not only move, but communicate all the time. And that rarely happens on PUGS. Especially PC PUGS.

I never use it, simply because:

- if I'm pugging, it only takes me to be alive to end the match, the others usually are not needed.
- if I'm playing with friends, everyone goes down less than 6 times total, so no need for it.

I thought at first that you can remote revive people... Now that would be handy. No more running into the middle of a couple brutes to revive when you can do it from a ledge up.

If Gold - sure. I will be able to clutch most of time. If Platinum, things can go wrong pretty fast depending on the kit.

It's useless. If I could revive people without dying it would have some use, but even then I doubt I'd use it.

This. If I could just run up to three dead teammates, press medigel button and instantly revive them all (or, say, sit down to revive one of them and revive everyone), I would equip it for some PUG games. Never used it myself, never was in a game when someone used one.

Reload cancelers with Medigel would never use it

True. But that "revive everyone in one sitting" feature could be useful, even if it wasted 1 medigel to revive two or three people at once.

I always use it when I play a Volus.

Even as a Volus I find other gear options much more useful for my personal survival, so I could use Shield Boost on my team and PREVENT them from dying in the first place.

Shield Booster V gives you 150 extra Shields as a volus. That's really not so great on Gold+.

No...it's kinda pointless really ....

Ignoring Rio box of campers even though that's where it's the most helpful.
Team hack circle.
Any situation where 2 -3 of you are pinned down/overrun and get taken out.
Firebase Giant-  assuming everyone is holding out at the extraction area or another area all together.
Firebase Glacier - it can happen if your running together as a wrecking ball of death.
Extraction wave 11.
Teamates save precious medigel.

Yep, completely pointless

No doubt about it. Nice feeling too - being Space Jesus and all. :innocent:

I use it every time I go to gold. It has saved the team countless times, especially with unreliable pugs.

It is great on all Volus kits... When shield boost fails, bring everybody back to life!

Also great for circle hack on Firebase London.

I don't pug Platinum. If I play platinum, it's with friends. And things do not go wrong with friends. Even if they do, I know I can waste 2-3 missiles to clutch the wave in half a minute and not let them wait.
