I have hard copies of all three games for the Xbox 360, and am considering playing the entire series over. However, with the release of the Trilogy on PS3, I'm seriously thinking about buying that and playing on the PS3 instead; I rather enjoy not having to deal with discs (especially disc swapping in the last two games); but will I lose anything? I mean, is there any DLC or content available on the Xbox 360 that's not available on the PS3? Any help is appreciated.

As far as I know the content is now equal across all platforms, but you will have to rebuy almost all the DLC except what came with the base game in Mass Effect 1 (Bring Down the Sky) and Mass Effect 2 (I believe the first two or three). If you have any progress in the multiplayer game that will be unavailable to you as well for that doesn't carry across platforms.

I'm aware that I'd have to rebuy the DLC, but I've been waiting forever to see if Microsoft would put a digital version of ME2 or 3 on Live, but I heard somewhere they don't allow games that large? The multiplayer won't be an issue; I'm not a big multiplayer fan. (It's not that I'm not a fan of ME3's multiplayer, it's that I'm not a fan of multiplayer in general; I tend to avoid it like the plague actually.)

I dug a little deeper and the only piece of DLC you will not have access to is Pinnacle Station in Mass Effect 1 or any of the Collector's Edition items from Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

I am unsure about pre-order gear, but I think you unlock it for all platforms when you register it.

Pinnacle Station isn't on PS3 but the trilogy edition comes with most of the DLC for ME1 and ME2 (in other words BDTS, Overlord, Kasumi, and LoTSB.)

ME2 pre-order gear for 360 came with the PS3 version's Cerberus Network.
