Skyrim Rocks!!! Screw Bioware and EA!! They can go to hell!!

Funny, my group of friends have a disinterest in the game Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Some call it a dissapointment, some just don't like the game. Though I don't see them calling out the company. What's wrong with just a simple "I dislike your game and I will make no more future purchases until I see a product of interest."?

Well, I'm not your "friends" and I like to voice my opinion.  A simple "I dislike the game" would be an invalid statement.  I loved the games for the most part and the series as a whole...but that ending...destroyed everything the game stood for and was about.  Hence feeling angry, upset, and violated and since Bioware turned it's back on us saying basically it's our fault we don't like the crap they put out I just refuse to by anything with the Bioware/EA logo anymore.

it still feels like harbinger gave me a prostate exam...

I dont know which I am still upset the most with...the awful ending, or bioware still plowing forward, all smiles as if its the best thing since sliced bread!

Don't force yourself to try to enjoy it, if you really can't, then don't - there are many, many great games out there and still coming that you'll be able to enjoy and more importantly, feel positive about the experience.

I enjoyed Skyrim, but even though id like to find an alternate RPG that i can immerse myself in, it just doesn't fill the void like the ME games.

To each their own.  Though Mass Effect was a great series and I was emotinally hooked for many years on it, I just had detach myself from it and find something else.  Skyrim did it for me.  Nothing near what Mass Effect was, but still very good for what it is.

That's the worst part.  Bioware knows we're upset and yet they act like such a**holes and don't give a damn about the fan base they've alienated.

"violated"

I get that you don't like the ending but seriously? The ending violated you in what way exactly?

OP: That's because the ending still totally sucks ass and that hasn't changed. But I applaud you for trying.

It took my innocence...

And violated my optimism. It turned me into a pessimistic b**** for months! That's never happened to me before...

Being in between optimism and pessemism is the best spot.

If you've ever felt 'violated' by a video game, perhaps its time to find a new hobby. Replaying it just makes it consentual.

It's perfectly fine to feel upset because it's not really the brightest ending (no pun intended), but I have to agree with some: isn't "violated" a bit hyperboles?

Honestly, it is Bioware 's story, if they want to say something that is generally believed in is a total lie, that's fine by me, the ending really may be frustrating, but is it not annoying to throw away something you believe in?

On the other hand, I was just listening to the extended cut ending theme and thinking, boy, those feels weren't so bad at all.

If your optimism was that fragile, it probably needed a re-examination anyway. And innocence isn't worth holding on to. (I guess-- it's been a couple decades since anyone considered me innocent)

Wait, stole your innocence?

Make you pessimistic?

You chose to be angry at a piece of fiction. Something that does not matter.

I wish Agent J or Agent M would show with a Neuralyser and say:

"The Ending of ME3 never happened"...

You know.
The similarities between the reaction to ME3's ending and rape victims is kinda amazing. (in not a good way)

No matter.
Bioware did what it did, how we as consumers act from here on, well, that's really up to us isn't it?

Its also kinda nonexistant. Even if you were forced to play games against your will, it still wouldn't be even slightly similar.

After about 9-10 months of feeling pretty much the same way, I've become too exhausted to stay angry.

I wish some other people felt like you did. This dead horse that is the ending has been beating back to life and death more times than I can remember. I find it increasingly hard to discuss how wack the endings are at this point, beyond an occasional "ME3, in general, was mediocre" comment. Everything that could've been said about them has been said.
