Well, yeah, but those packs aren't meant to fill up your consumables...

I hope the DLC comes with a bug, and all you get is character cards.

Wow, and there I am in yet another avoid/blocked list, what a suprise...

I am surprised no pro show up yet and claim medigel is for newbies, I must have missed that post.

Anyways, to keep the chain:

No, they are not. By the time I maxed my manifest I had 255 each of the four consumables plus lots of amps. Stop blaming others or the RNG when it is you who does not buy the appropriate packs.

I do occasionally burn through all 6 medigel in a silver match, but even on the days when I only stick to silver, on average I earn enough that I can buy JEPs enough to restock what I use and still have plenty left over. Not having your full complement of consumables (ok, thermal clip packs aren't that important, but who doesn't have 250+ of those lying around?) when you enter a match is a dickish move.

Funny thing is that I tend to use less medigel on gold than on silver. I suspect it's a combination of two things: I use equippable consumables on gold, and people tend to stay within reasonable range of each other so it's easier to get revived. Silver tends to be more of a gung-ho every man for himself difficulty.

Even when I only use a few consumables on silver, I'm spending them faster than I get them. IMO the problem is that players who maxed out their manifest, will spend their credits on equipment packs a lot more than players who haven't maxed their manifest yet, making consumable supplies unbalanced. Skill shouldn't be an issue since the game should be enjoyable by differently skilled players. I'm skilled enough for Silver, perhaps even for Gold. But the amount of consumables I get thoughout the PSP, AP or RP are too low.

Why buy packs you can't afford to while keep your equipment levels reasonable?

You make a good point. But since unlocking new things for my manifest is way more satisfying than keeping my consumables supplied, I'll still spend most of my credits on these packs. Perhaps I should use my consumables more carefully.

If you're running low on missiles playing bronze and silver (checked your profile), that's a skill issue. I seldom play higher difficulties, but missiles in bronze shouldn't happen, and on silver should only be used as a quick fix for multiple boss mobs standing on/in the way of an objective.

A JEP gives you 5 (or more) missiles, 5 (or more) medigel, 5 ops packs and 5 thermal clips. Lets say you use 3 medigel, and 3 missiles in a silver game and extracted. You still have 2 left. This means you gained 33k and still have roughly half a JEP.

If you are skilled enough in silver as you say, then 1 JEP can last you at least 2 games (66k) meaning a net gain of 33k after deducting the cost of a JEP (33k). The important part is that you have to finish the game. Having 0 medigel will cost you matches that could have been won and extracted especially on wave 10.

How to get even more out of it? Use your equipment in silver. JEPs will give you a bunch of equipment. That equipment will help you do more damage/survive better which in turn lessens you need for missiles and medigel. Some may feel it will impact your skill improvement but this way you get the most out of the JEP.

I guess this is part of the problem. People here on BSN tend to say that equipment is not needed on silver or even make fun of people who admit to use them on silver. In combination with powerful classes lvl I - II amps can make a hugh difference that will make games go faster and smoother.

Amps and consumables are part of the game and meant to be used. They are easy to obtain and speed up the process of unlocking a manifest.

Im kind of there.

I buy a JEP before every match because I usually end up burning through all 6 medigel during the match (thanks to the handy dandy medigel transmitter)

Since i'm don't need the credits any more, i'm taking a different tack. Bleed out ahead of them on objective waves instead. More entertaining that way.

Maybe one of them will write a post complaining about people bleeding out on objective waves LOL!

Well, is because I dont need credits anymore that I dont really care if I do the missions objectives or not but I do them even if I already have what I want and the rest is redundant for me.

Funny you talk down people that dont have 0 medigel when you are claim to let yourself die to be one of those that has 0 medigel but not even trying to play the game. Is normally people with that atitude that dont see medigel from me, just saying...

I guess TO does not play with friends, as friends would not put up with that cheap behavior. Interesting enough, by playing with good teams you will not use as much gel or rockets.

I've been playing with a friend who I met at Christmas and he did not have most of his UR even unlocked, but he always keeps his rockets/gel/ops/ ammo at 255. He has unlocked quite a bit of stuff but the thing is that even when playing in PUG he is still quite successful - he does complain about the f***ing pug that will not gel or use rockets. I guess he is talking about you.

You mean you don't know if someone bleeds out every wave he will bleed out on objective waves? .  Lets say i see you bleeding out on wave 1,2,3 (just to give you the benefit of the doubt),4,5. Surely you won't bleed out on wave 6 right? :innocent:

Oh but what happens to poor you when i bleed out at the start of wave 6? Thats the entertaining part. Can't handle the difficulty and bleed out? Well no credits for you!:o

@Schachmatt:

255 Spec Ops packs? Find that dubious at best.

Don't forget about competence, the most useful of consumables. Well, aside from where the Harrier is involved; that weapon is pretty brainless as long as you can remember to chain your hip to an ammo cache.

For clarification, BSN doesn't like tablets so quoting people is a no-go. Was responding to two of your above posts, one regarding maxing out hotkey consumables and one regarding amps. Pay more attention.

Maxing out ops packs isn't a problem for me, at least. Medigel is the only one I can get short of between buying sprees, the rest stay above 200.

Of course, that should probably tell me that I should remap ops packs to a more accessible key and use more of them :?

A few points:

1º- There are matches you might bleed out in wave 1, and after that you need you dont go down again all match. Other matches you are doing fine and then around wave 9-10 you need to use several medigel. If a player is confident enough can go by gold with no medigel.

2º- I had matches that got gold for revives before wave 6 and beat it full extraction with 3 people. Sometimes slow starts pays-off.

3º- The medigel last very few for someone that goes down enough to bleed out every wave, dont blame it on the lack of medigel. If someone has 6 medigel and  use them all before wave 6 is better than not bring any and dont bleed out once?

4º-I dont need much credits, and the only reason I buy JEP is for quick heals, if I have them I rarelly need medigel. If that fails rockets. I might not have medigel sometimes but that does not mean I dont use equipment if I need.

5º-Imagine that every player that went by a match with you without using a single medigel, for all you know we migh have 0 medigel and went just fine. There are also those people that are the last one alive and dont use one of 5-6 medigel to stand up and kill the last enemy to keep the match going. Have  medigel does not make is a good medigel user, or dont have it make you a bad player

Edit: There text was confusing, still is but as to do. Subject is the same

Maybe it's too early in the morning for me, but I literally can't understand anything you've been trying to say so I'll just address the one point I did understand.

If they've used up 6 medigel by wave 6 they need to re-evaluate if they belong on that difficulty.

I can vouch for your slow starts comment, Sylver. I have had scrubby teammates who decided to start pulling their weight as team players after I dashed through hell and back (mostly brutes and ravager juice) to Res them, which is always a good thing to see, competence burnished through fire.
